This review is on behalf of the Bradford Curry Club:
Upon arrival there is a small bar area where you can enjoy a drink if you are waiting for members of your group to arrive.
When everyone had arrived we were shown our table, which had plenty of room - no being annoyed by people sat behind you bumping into your chair, and plenty of room for the excellent waiters to serve you.
Most of the group had the obligatory papadums with an assortment of pickles which were soon consumed, followed by a selection of starters, the only slight downside for one member being that he likes his Chicken Tikka starter to be served sizzling on a hot plate, and it wasn't - that said, he did state that it was nice anyway. My own choice was the onion bhaji which was cooked to perfection and served with small salad.
On to the main course - with the exception of one member who couldn't finish his meal and took it home with him, there was no food left by anyone - praise indeed!
Scores (out of 10):
Parking 8/10 - no car park of it's own, but there free parking on the road outside, and there's a small (free) car park opposite.
Staff 9/10 - very friendly and helpful, and only lost a mark because one member waited around 25 minutes for a drink they ordered, which had to be re-ordered.
Food 10/10 - excellent food, made using good quality ingredients, and well presented.
Prices 9/10 - Deeva probably charge 10-15% more than average, however, Farsley is a nice location, the restaurant is nicely decorated and paying around £3.00 per person more than usual was not an issue given the excellent food and service.
Overall 9/10 - This is the highest score awarded on any of our visits so far.
Would we visit again? Yes.

Read moreLet’s talk about customer service …..firstly having lived in Farsley for many years and dined in Deeva on many occasions I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad meal… however this evening I ordered a lamb nihari and sadly the piece of lamb I was served was all fat and gristle and totally inedible, nobody came to ask how the food was so I ate my chips and the curry sauce, which was fine. When the server came to clear the table I politely explained that the lamb was inedible, but everything else had been lovely and asked her to knock the lamb off the bill. The manager came to the table and totally embarrassed me, implying that I had eaten the meat and basically was just trying it on. I was made to feel incredibly uncomfortable and basically called a liar. He also on several occasion put his hand in me, which I felt was highly inappropriate. Having dined there on many occasions I will never return. So to summarise I would say eat there the food is usually excellent, however don’t ever dare complain , the manager is all sweetness and light until you have the audacity to mention that somethings...
Read moreCan't really comment on the atmosphere as we normally get a takeaway from Deeva (because we have a dog) but tonight was a very unsatisfactory experience. The organisation and communication has been at question a couple of times from our experience but tonight was by far the worst. We picked up our order and found out that our chappatis were missing from our order, so my partner had to drive back to collect them while our curry was going cold. When she got back she then found that her curry wasn't what she ordered. She ordered a paneer spinach balti (which was written on the receipt attached to the bag) but after opening the container found a chicken spinach balti. Good job she wasn't vegetarian but it's not acceptable that she didn't get the food she ordered, not to mention the missing chappatis. The food is excellent but I think there is a communication break down at Deeva that really needs sorting out because we have had...
