Saint Jude — Restaurant in Leeds

I love coming to Saint Jude. It's definitely one of the hidden gems of Farsley (having escaped my notice for quite a while). It's a fantastic place to sit and watch the world go by.

It does get pretty busy which is normally enough to put me off choosing somewhere for a quiet lunch. But it's dog friendly and a really nice atmosphere.

I don't know how they do it, but even at absolute capacity the staff are super attentive without ever being imposing. It's really nice to have as a local spot. They truly make it seem easy and we all know it isn't.

My only gripe is that the Jalapeño poppers were too good. I've never found ones that nice since and they absolutely need to make a comeback to the menu.

Whether it's a quiet brew (they do good coffee. Even if you're a fellow coffee snob), or a working lunch. It's a great place to call in and relax.

Just average. You can’t book on a weekend as it’s small, which is fair enough, but there is no management of the tables. We arrived as a 4 and there were two tables with 4 chairs at both tables, however there were couples sat at both of the tables. There were no tables available for the 4 of us and I asked the lady behind the bar if there was anything they might be able to do, to be told we would just have to wait. We then asked another staff member who put two high tables together, a little cramped but at least we were sat down. Eventually we managed to move to a 4 seated table when they left. The food was ok nothing special in terms of taste in the beef burger I had. My point to this is the staff should really be asking couples to sit on two seater tables to manage the walk ins effectively. It could end up turning away...

Hello , Unfortunately, I wasnt happy with the food quality and delivery

Today on 12/07/2023 , we order our meal thinking the place is rated best and could give us a good food but the burger we ordered was cooked in a burnt oil ( means something was cooked or burnt before our meal was prepared in a cooked oil )

The chicken wasn't fresh at all , while bitting it tasted like chewing a rubber also the food was cold and salty

If the place is rated as 4.7 on delivery apps like deliveroo, it's just disappointing to get food like this.
