Grameen — Restaurant in Leeds

Walked in place was freezing service was very slow!! Was only people in there! Starters took ages portions minute very small! Took ages to clear plates then waited an hour for our mains while 4 people came in for takeaway and got their food!!! No communication or anything about delay Told manager was leaving and did not even apologize or anything didn't seem bothered ! Very disappointed don't know how any good reviews which I why I went!! Won't go again! One couple walked out after sitting and waiting ages freezing, not long after we left leaving one poor couple on valentines night to probably wait an eternity for their food n probably spoil their night wouldn't mind but place was empty! Seems they are only bothered about takeaway as that's only people that got their meals!!! Please don't reply saying u are sorry it didn't meet your usual standards and to look for your special offers on website as I wouldn't dream about coming back and judging by the tiny average starters glad I didn't spend the nearly 100 pounds I was going to!!!! People saying it's a gem must not...

5* Service was brilliant, really nice lads and looked after us. 4* The curry was really nice but the chicken was long strips and awkward to eat with chapattis. I'm used to "Bradford" style curries so might be something I've not come across. 4* for atmosphere some of the music was a bit obnoxious but honestly didn't ruin the night or anything.

Going to go back again it's now on my list.

Edit: went back again 6 months later. Chicken issue has gone away. Just normal pieces. Also the music wasn't too bad this time. So more than happy to keep going. Attached photos are from this...

Best by far , I’ve travelled lots finding new places this is by far my new number one place , friendly , helpful , caring , food outstanding if I must say , I’ve passed so many times , but stopped to try for first time last week and will return non stop and promote this place , the only thing pointed out by one of the tenants was it could do with maybe lamps on tables and decor on walls , maybe trees with lights to make it feel more inviting and cozy , but will not stop us coming back , food outstanding on both visits , highly recommend this...
