Woodside Fisheries — Restaurant in Leeds

Well, all I can say is how gutted I am to have only discovered this gem two weeks ago. It’s hands down the best fish and chips in Horsforth (in my opinion!) and I’ve tried them all for many years. The fish is fresh and tasty, the chips soft but crispy and the peas are tasty rather than plain. Today I had the home made steak pie with gravy, peas and mint sauce, which was spectacular. Look no further folks, this is the place. Owners are lovely and service great. Thank you… you have new regulars!...

Waited about 10 mins for a fish ( these have to be ordered first, fair enough). In the meantime the staff were preparing huge collection orders and when I finally got my order ( just for one) , when I got it home it was definitely NOT a freshly cooked fish. The whole lot was soaked in grease too. Never go again as long as I live. Don’t let the friendliness fool you. There are far better ones around....

Really excellent fish and chips and ample portion sizes.

Fresh beautifully well-cooked flaky fish covered in crispy batter, plenty of chips which were also very good with the added bonus of plenty of scraps to top it all off. First time trying here on the way back after the game at Headingly but most definitely will not be the last.
