Saffron Garforth — Restaurant in Leeds

We were messaged to confirm that our order had been delivered when it hadn’t been. We called Saffron only to be told that the order had left the kitchen. They couldn’t tell us which of their drivers had taken the delivery, therefore they couldn’t explain where the order was. The guy taking the call told us to wait another 10 minutes and wouldn’t listen to the fact that we had received confirmation that it had been delivered and that it clearly had been Mis-delivered and he simply put the phone down. The driver arrived 35 minutes later and confirmed that he had taken it to the wrong address an hour before. The meal would clearly be cold now and having already advised just eat that the order had been mis-delivered and we had ordered elsewhere, we sent him on his way. Therefore we have no idea what the food is like but can confirm that the service is terrible....

My review is on the delivery and food. We have used Saffron a few times but won't be using again. Generally the delivery is excellent and comes spot on time or a few mins out. Last night it was 40 minutes late, we waited 80 minutes. The starter which was mixed starter for 2 was really good. However, we thought we'd give them another chance after having 2 not so good deliveries. We had a chicken Sagg and chicken Imli from the new menu. We shared the Sagg as the Imli was chicken in a red sauce that tasted so sugary. We didn't even eat all the Sagg. Sorry Saffron as we use to enjoy your food when you back at...

Had a meal a couple of weeks ago, to be fair although it’s not really authentic as they say it was quite nice, ordered another this week, unfortunately not impressive, the starter was fairly ok but the main, tasteless and soaking in grease .. almost £60 (ok not a massive amount but it’s still a treat) very very disappointing.. I do believe having had the pleasure to be invited into homes of home cooking of Asian families will always shadow the fast food and the so called “Indian takeaways” in a nutshell...
