Springwell Brewery - Vertical Drinks — Restaurant in Leeds

My experience with North Brewing was 5 stars and always has been 5 stars. The staff and the beer are both fantastic.

However I do have a few point of constructive criticism. I booked a table for 2 people over a month ago but today we were put on a table with another household that we didn't know. This would usually be okay but the other household were sat less than half a meter away from us. This was extremely uncomfortable for me as I haven't been vaccinated and I would expect that other people were socially distanced from me. We were also not aware that we would be put on another table with another household, in a pandemic, this is quite uncomfortable and we wouldn't have booked it otherwise. It was especially disappointing as I had to raise the issue myself to them (politely) and they seemed really unhappy/offended which was really awkward for me. It shouldn't be left to us to raise any social distancing issues as this was extremely uncomfortable for us, especially as it was just to look after our safety. Other venues allow you to discern whether you are placed on a table with others so I do not understand how it isn't the same here. I shouldn't have to share the risks that other households have taken, i have made so many sacrifices during the pandemic and I really want to keep myself and others safe.

The tables in the shed/marquee at the top left of the outdoor seating were less than 20cm away from each other so I really don't understand how social distancing could have been maintained there and I am a bit disappointed that North Brewing encouraged this despite social distancing guidelines not changing.

We chose Springwell for our wedding party and we couldn’t have wished for better! My husband(!) took me here for a brewery tour on my birthday and we fell in love with the venue. We booked them the second we heard they did events! Two weeks before the big day, I had a phone call from Gabby, who told us she was going to be looking after our wedding. She helped us to plan the space in meticulous detail with boundless enthusiasm and I knew we’d be in great hands. On the night, I didn’t even have to order a drink at the bar, she made sure to replace my drink as soon it was low - I felt like a celebrity! The bar staff on the night were amazing and so friendly too. We couldn’t have wished for better. All we’ve talked about since is when we’ll be planning our next party here! Thank you so much...

When we needed a shelter (from the rain) were you there, were you there? When we needed a shelter were you there... And the name or the colour or the dankness didnt matter, you were there. We got on our knees and prayed to the beer gods for a dry day with some delicious beers and my word they did not disappoint. They provided shelter from the elements while titillating our taste buds with nectar from the heavens themselves. Our palate was tested but what we didn't expect was for our brains to get a similar workout. Step forwards May. May we have asked for a better bar-tender in the month of May? No we May not. May was a delight and she gave us a mental workout harder than trying to split a bill here with our mate Thomas who only drinks 3% beer. Would we come back?...
