It’s a really nice place.. good cafe.. interesting place for kids to run around
The add on is, it’s not a farm, there’s probably a few lamas, three Guinea pigs and at Easter they get chickens in, ohh and there’s a pig.they have a semi allotment type thing and a small playground…as much as I love walking down to the farm I don’t get it… it juts seems to be a place where a cafe is, I think they do educational training here, but if you are expecting sheep and such…. Then you’ll be disappointed ( because it really wouldn’t take much to transform the farm part )
Juts as an add on to the message the farm sent me now.
I’ve been coming to the farm for years so I’m aware of the farm areas you have, my review is juts more about the expectations rather than what you’ll see, we were down this weekend and the alpaca are at the end field, the pigs up top, and two pens in the stable with Guinea pigs, no chickens or sheep or whatever ( and yea the bugs ) I still rate you high and always enjoy my time, but it’s not a city farm as one woudl expect ( compare to temple newsom for example or none go bye farm )
But I do rate it as a place for a coffee and...
Read moreI am absolutely baffled by the negative reviews. I visited the farm with a friend on 22 May 2022 and we loved every minute. The entrance fee is astonishingly low. The place is beautifully maintained and you can clearly tell how much love and care has been put into every aspect of the farm. The animals look healthy, well looked after and have plenty of room to roam and graze. The farm abounds with trees and flowers. There are magnificent views and many delightful walking routes under the trees and through the fields. There are lovely places to sit or have a picnic. The restaurant offers delicious, healthy meals with produce grown on the farm. The restaurant staff were so lovely and friendly. They brightened up my day with their kindness and helpfulness. There is also a picturesque stream running through the farm, as well as a cycling route. The farm is an absolute gem and a beautiful oasis in Leeds. I would like to thank all the wonderful people who make it what it is. I would happily go back there...
Read moreHaving read recent reviews I had low expectations but Meanwood Valley is still as lovely as I remember it being 8 years later. A lovely walk with little sculptures along the way, We saw gorgeous Alpacas, Donkeys, Goats, Brown Cows, Sheep and Chickens. My niece enjoyed the little playarea too. We didn't visit the cafe but the courtyard was lovely and well kept. Very Dog friendly! The small animal enclosure is closed at the moment, so if you want to see rabbits & guinea pigs I suggest you call to check if reopen. Lots of rocks and trees with QR codes to scan to learn about their history and a mini beast trail with bug hotel. The bird viewing station with different level holes for viewing was great, including art work to look at. Overall a great day out with a puppy and 2 year old. We spent 4 hours exploring. We will be back. The animals are spread out so...
