Vine Deli & Bakery by Residence — Restaurant in Leeds

I had pre booked an afternoon tea for my sisters birthday, and when we arrived we were not disappointed. The external was welcoming and clean, and we were greeted within seconds of walking in the door. We were seated quickly by very friendly staff who had asked about our day, and made sure we had everything we needed. Once the beautifully presented afternoon tea arrived, we were totally suprised at what was actually on it. We were thinking the usual type sandwiches, but nope, it was beautiful Mediterranean foods, an array of colours and packed full of flavour. Throughout the time we were there, staff were happily chatting to customers coming through the door, but also cleaning and ensuring the shop looked spit-spot. Quality (with reasonable prices) lunchtime / late lunchtime location with easy parking off the Otley Road in Horsforth, north Leeds. Our second visit here today and we'll certainly be back.

Friendly, courteous service, a relaxing atmosphere with well chosen decor and a superb playlist on the the unobtrusive sound system.

But the best bit was the food. My wife and I had chickpea curry jacket potatoes served with salad. Really very good indeed. Followed by coffee as good as you'll find. The salads and ciabattas are great too - we had those last time. A good choice on the lunchtime menu. Wine if you like - we had sparkly water.

And with ramped access too, what's not to like? Vine does afternoon teas too until 16:00. All in all, strongly recommended. Chapel Allerton - match this! Horsforth...

Popped in today with my toddler. Like an oven inside, no AC and no fans.

My drink was ok but the customer service was really lacking - Server very disinterested. No napkins given etc. Took ages to take my order despite it being quiet. To make matters worse, the server took someone else’s order first who arrived after i did. Flimsy and awkward seating outside on a slope. Menu looks interesting but business looks like there is no heart and soul.Won’t be returning.

EDIT based on the owners response I would like to clarify that upon entering the shop I was infact told by the server to take a menu and that he would come to me and take my order. Otherwise I would have ordered at the till. Another customer was infact served before...
