It’s not possible to give 0 stars, so 1 star will have to do but is extremely generous. This review regards orders placed between 8-10pm, for some context, with a low flow of customers.
I didn’t realise just how frustrated one could feel over a delayed McDonald’s order, but after waiting 60 minutes due to incompetent staff and a spiteful manager I now understand.
I’m not a mathematician, but I’m confident that order no. 13 comes before orders in the 30s onwards. So why serve them first? I’m not a McDonald’s employee, but taking a customer’s receipt to check our order after we gently nudged them, not doing anything about it for a further 30 minutes and then asking us to write down our order with a notepad is not standard practise and is, if anything, detrimental to the already overly long order time. Hearing the manager yell to their employees about the state of the work output and then being happy when they faff around twiddling their thumbs whilst several customers wait for their food is not standard practise and is, quite frankly, one of the many shown aspects of the poor manager at this restaurant, named Lauren. Asking politely for some compensation after the awful and incompetent service to be confronted with lies regarding their so called “company practices and policies” and receiving a passive aggressive response with no means to lodge formal complaints… really? I thought the whole point was to encourage people to eat your awful unhealthy food? I must be mistaken. After finally receiving half of the order, a staff member proceeded to explain how to cook a burger… seriously? Just crack on?
Need I go on?
The silver lining in this story would be at least the food was decent, right? After all that, the chips were undercooked, the burgers had no sauce in them, the drinks were warm and flat, and we then proceeded to drive home an hour later than originally planned with work the following morning hence ruining our sleep schedules. Unacceptable.
Our evening plans were ruined. I still have no way of formally complaining regarding the staff, beyond the branch manager.
I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone unless you enjoy spending time in a maccies without eating the “quick” and “easy” food they...
Read morecalled in to mcdonald’s hoping for fast food, 25 minutes later and having everyone under the sun served before us, it finally arrived.
how there were 5 members of staff around the bagging area and yet no more than 1 person was bagging is beyond me.
then arrived what seemed to be the staff’s entire facebook friend list as they place their order, then brought them the receipt to get their order given to them faster.. meanwhile we wait. i could forgive this if it was one or two people popping in and you got them their food first, perks of the job! but when you bring them their food and stand there chatting for an ungodly amount of time the vision of patience that i was when i walked in is starting to look a little rough.. might i just add this wasn’t just one member of staff.. this was EVERY member of staff that we could see. god help the people in the back prepping the food, have a drink on us you poor things.
now let’s talk about the ambience shall we.. this is the ideal place to eat if you like living in squalor. the bin was over flowing onto the floor, creating a beautiful greasy mess, the tables were covered in rubbish and sauces. so badly wish i got a picture of the other side of the room but was being glared at by a member of staff not doing their job lol. the real showstopper was the beeping of horns from the drive thru as people desperately try and get some service. all round stunning. also.. toilets… don’t even go there.
25 mins later we hear ‘they’ve been waiting quite a while’ from the same person who had been ‘packing the orders’ if we can even go that far.. yes we have. and if it wasn’t for the fact we had just got off a 4 hour ferry journey and were starving, i would have asked for our money back. i’m really not one to complain, as i say, i work in customer service and i appreciate that sometimes things take longer than anticipated because of things we can’t control.. this however was not one of those instances.
couldn’t pay...
Read moreToday's visit did not go well... I will explain. Firstly, the sea chickens carry stones or rocks That's what I assume due to the local youth all wearing their helmets. Even once inside this building. When you enter here I learned that time actually does slow down. A cheeseburger, veggie wrap meal, grilled chicken wrap meal (got breaded instead) and a coffee took 26 minutes to materialise. The only heat in the food was in the fries. Everything else was ready 22 minutes prior and left under the worlds worst warming lamp. While waiting I can confirm the disabled toilet resembles a box that has literally had arses pointed in while being fired. The ladies loo lacked toilet paper and I understand that to be important as drip drying isn't fun. Neither is not washing hands with soap... The tables were if not in use covered in the last users discarded food wrappers and presumably the crappy fries that were probably cold on initial attempted consumption. The bins inside and out were overflowing which amazes me as they hardly seemed to shift any orders while we waited for ours. Did I complain. No, there is no way on god's I was going to waste another 26 minutes for some individual who couldn't get the order right in the first place to have a second go. Will I be back? Probably not. Slowest and worst kept Maccies in the UK so far in my...
