Ringmer Cafe & Grill — Restaurant in Lewes

Very disappointing breakfast, came at 10.30 a family of 4, it was busy so we knew there will be a wait understandably, but there were 3 other tables that came after us and got served their food before we did! Got charged extra for kids hot chocolates. No apologies or information about the progress of waiting OVER AN HOUR for 2 breakfast and small kids size. Hash browns burned, the taste and quality below average and the bill came over £40!! We have visited several local cafes over this week as we’re on holiday but this was by far the worst one yet. Badly cooked, overpriced, unfriendly. They just want to take your money and don’t really care if you like it or not.. Most definitely won’t recommend or return to this place.

Yes the plates were empty since we waited for nearly hour and half with hungry kids I think at this point I’d eat anything.. since this was our first meal of the day and almost midday by the time food came it gets to a point where anything goes. Most definitely not worth the money. You should go around your competitors and see the real value and tasty breakfast with quality...

We've just enjoyed another tasty meal at Ringmer Cafe, so they definitely deserve a positive review. We had Eggs Benedict the first time, with everything earning 5 stars, as it was delicious, filling, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Tonight's meals of moussaka and scampi were just as well cooked and very tasty, with good portion sizes, as we were left feeling very satisfied but not uncomfortably full. I can't comment on previous decor but the current atmosphere is pleasant and relaxing and I feel like I could easily enjoy several hours with a coffee, meal and dessert etc, if I could. I came in for lunch today and am shocked by what I have seen, firstly they got my order wrong and I had to wait another 15 minutes for the correct food. The owners daughter was running around and shouting a lot, she then sat at a mothers table and was shouting whilst playing on her iPad, even taking food from the other children’s plates! I could see the mother was getting agitated as not only were her orders wrong but her child had to wait a while to get her food which was then picked at by the owners daughter!! Don’t think I’ll...
