My wife booked our table for 5pm for two people, we arrived on time the gentleman that took her reservation sat us on our table. He gave us our menus and we had a look for about 5-10 minutes a lovely lady came over took our order and also for drinks. We said thankyou. 10 minutes after that our food arrived it was hot looked great and tasted wonderful, however the service after they collected our empty plates from our main meal was atrocious no one came over to our table to ask was your meal OK did you need anything else any drinks or desert,NOTHING for AN HOUR come on people what is wrong here? there was six (6) server's tonight we tried to get the main person dealing with the reservations to help but all we got was ignored. To be honest they didn't seem interested that we wanted another drink or a desert God forbid. So in the end we managed to get the lovely lady that served us at the start of our meal. So we asked for our bill the lady printed it for us and we only had our bank card with us but there new card machine asked for a tip and we couldn't remove it so we had no choice but to give ten per cent 10% what a complete rip off. We would of stayed for tea and desert but after the extremely poor service we received we payed and went home and had our tea and desert there. Last but not least the lady that took our order was wonderful but the rest of the team well I can't put it into words as you...
Read moreRustico Newhaven, 💯 percent! positively deserves, a Googel review!!! Fantastic ambience, food and service. I was really surprised, as a well travelled lady, how fresh and truly authentic, the meal was, compared to many Italian restaurants, I have tried in the city, near by. I am captivated that Newhaven has finally been given the opportunity, to host a beautiful al fresco venue, such as this. I can only hope that more people are ready to invest, in a lovely, local, summer, evening here, to enjoy, truly authentic, fresh, made to order, Neopolitan, Italian, food and enjoy the dolcite tones of the vintage music, coming from within. The vegetarian aubergines and mozzarella dish, with the house salad, was perfectly proportioned and not too overfilling, or too heavy. The house red was mindblowing aromatic bottle, full bodied with fruity bursts, with hints of blackberries. Rustico Newhaven, is a hidden gem in Newhavens Harbour, totally affordable and will not break the bank either. Perfect for families of all ages and romantic dinner dates, or a lovely space to relax on your own. The al fresco area is also dog friendly, for well behaved pets. A perfect evening and a little slice of heaven in the heart of the East Sussex coastline....
