West Quay Cafe — Restaurant in Lewes

Had breaky here this morning again (16th August 2025) and it's still as good as ever - photo now attached.

Myself and two friends had breakfast on the 20th May 2025. We all had full-english.

Oh my, what a fantastic breaky this was. Great sausage, lovely bacon, beans, mushrooms, fried egg and toast. Tea was also good - can't beat a great cup of tea in the morning.

Trust me a full-english can be dreadful or fantastic - this meal was fantastic.

Staff were friendly. Our order was taken within 2 minutes and the place was full. Our meals turned up around 9 - 10 minutes later. Sensible priced as...

I always start with three stars and increase/decrease depending on experience. Firstly, a friendly welcome was appreciated and the cleanliness was A1. Obviously its a basic cafe so comfort is never priority but it was adequate and the food more than made up for any hard seating. Eggs cooked perfectly, sausages great quality and bacon expertly crisp!!! Staff were friendly, prices unbelievable for quality and setting was ok too. Location 4/5. Stopped here with a friend when out for a cycle ride on a warm November lunchtime. We had fish finger baps and a hot drink. They were tasty and great value. We sat outside in the sunshine and watched a stream of locals pop in to collect takeaways. In addition the cafe was nearly full inside. This is quite a gem and well worth a visit. If travelling by car you can park right outside. We could have done with a storage rack to leave our bikes but had to make do with leaning them against a wall.
