China King Chinese Takeaway — Restaurant in Lichfield

Ordered tonight, order process was fine and lovely on the phone. Waited for an hour and 1hr 25 mins later when I called to check, was told food had just left. As expected the food arrived cold, I paid and tipped the driver as it wasn’t their fault. I phoned up to say the food was cold and was told it was busy and if I wanted to send the food back that was fine. I’d already turned the oven on to warm the food up but I was expecting a warmer reaction to my complaint than “if you want to keep it that’s upto you!” I was trying to feed my son his favourite Crispy Duck and wasn’t expecting a meal I had to reheat at home......surely that’s not the idea? Need to do better, being busy is a luxury...

We were spoilt with our local Chinese restaurant when we lived in Spain, so when we relocated back to blighty we struggled to find good Chinese food and just gave up in the end preferring to cook our own. We planned on getting fish and chips one night on our way home but at the last minute we took a chance and ordered a takeaway, it was busy, always a good sign! The food is absolutely wonderful from here, we've had several takeaway's now and the food is always excellent. The staff work really hard, they cook infront of you and everything is spotlessly clean. The only good thing about this place is a fast delivery. Honestly some of the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten. All of it was cold. The Aromatic duck was 25% meat, 75 fat/skin. The beef in the special curry honestly was inedible….if you can imagine if Wrigleys made a beef flavour chewing gum you’d be on the right lines!

The ribs were just fat and grease on a bone. I’ve seen more meat on a sparrows kneecap!

I had instant regret after eating the food. Don’t go through this same pain. Get back on google and find...
