Stowe Pool — Attraction in Lichfield

As a family, we always used to walk round this beautiful lake with the cathedral appearing in the background. We loved it and I still love it now. Such a peaceful walk. Can be busy but because Lichfield is such a nice area, it attracts good people so you know it will be a great day out any time of the year. You can fish on the lake with the necessary fishing license and day ticket which you can purchase from the ranger hut on site. There are grass parts and benches around the lake so you can sit, eat and drink. A shopping centre and some public toilets are located 5minutes walk away and a larger park around 10minutes walk where you can take the whole family and...

Absolutely beautiful pool, great for walks around the perimeter path which is in mostly good condition, stunning views across the pool towards the cathedral, the wildlife in and around the water is beautiful to see shame about the poor fish being hooked by the fishermen now and then, everyone we have ever met here are friendly and its nice to see other dogs, very well kept with plenty of bins for rubbish and dog poop , definitely worth a visitbif...

A great place for a walk, accessible to all, with spectacular views of Lichfield Cathedral. As you walk around the pool you get different aspects of the Cathedral. You also come across Saint Chad's Church. There is always plenty of other things going on, with the fishermen competing with the Cormorants and the Swans, Mallards, Coots and Moorhens squabbling and chasing each other.
