I don't know what the servers' problem is but this is the only Costa drive thru where the staff don't put sugar in your coffee when instructed to. I'm not being petty: they literally have a problem with it and the rude woman I was served by this morning (it is the morning shift servers), literally refused.
Now, I don't mind stirring my own sugar, but on a drive thru, the point is you buy your coffee ready to go and drink. I don't have time, nor is it safe, to pull over and open a hot drink.
It's also just a simple request: take the pre-measured sugar sachet; pour into coffee; stir it; put on lid.
Suffice to say, after using this drive thru for a few weeks now, I won't ever again. Not o oh is the service poor, but so are the attitudes.
No, I don't want a Costa card/app - if I wanted one, I'd bloody well download it. The same server keeps telling me to get one. If I didn't the first time, it's because I don't want one.
I don't tend to write reviews but these people have REPEATEDLY offered the same poor service. My fault for giving the benefit of the doubt.

The first time I asked for a decaffeinated flat white with oatmilk, which was revolting because they'd used soya milk! Weeks later they were serving everything in throwaway cups as they said the hot water system had broken down. On another occasion I asked for a cake that the girl serving me then dropped on the floor, and my latest visit, which will likely be my last visit, I asked for a cappuccino but received hot chocolate, and I've had enough now. Read moreThe store was closed due to some technical issues... However drive through was open... I have tried to order through the drive through, but they were insisting me to come back in my car... I told them that I don’t have a right to drive, and if I could order just like any other customer, but without a car. It was really disappointing, that the stuff couldn’t provide any help of getting coffee, by saying that it was not safe to order a cup of coffee without a car... when there were no cars around at all!!! So for 3-5 minutes I was asking if they could help somehow, cos I already walked here for some 15 minutes, but they were completely unreasonable by saying that it was dangerous... it is sad to see that because of some employees, that don’t feel encouraged and creative, or customer obsessed, the company looses...
