i highly recommend here. Having stayed at The Hedgehog this weekend we couldn't have asked for a better experience. it did not start off well, not the staffs fault i hasten to add but an IT glitch over payment. This was resolved and we had a lovely meal on Friday evening. The team all carried out social distancing and were very attentive. The room was clean and hardly any noise even though above the bar and restaurant and on a busy road. we enjoyed the food so much we decided to have our Sunday lunch which again was exceptional. whilst dining the team were faced a few issues with a leak, not fazed they dealt with it well and moved diners. it seemed to me a well led team who clearly work hard together. I am not normally one for an essay, so sorry not sorry but the efforts of everyone we dealt with should be recognised. Finally to the young lady who dealt with us on arrival, yes it didnt go smoothly but your customer service was perfect, kept calm at all times. thank you we will be visiting again!

Went to this place as our children were up for the weekend visiting us. We wanted to go somewhere different and new. Our daughter gave us three places to choose from and the Hedgehog won out. We booked a table and we are glad we did. The place is very clean and well presented. There is a lovely outside seating area where you can enjoy the garden while enjoying your drink. We were shown our table and our drinks order was taken. About 5 minutes later they took our food order and within 10 minutes our starters arrived. Lovely just enough to make you want your main meal. After we finished our starter our main meal arrived. They were just perfect couldn't fault any of them, lovely and hot. They also have the Spanish beer Estrella on draft, which is a lovely beer having lived in Barcelona for many years. The bill came as we didn't have room for any puddings. The total cost i thought fairly expensive but I suppose for such a high standard of meal you expect to pay, so fair enough.

Had the absolute pleasure of eating lunch here today. It's a beautiful pub and the service we received was exemplary. The lady who greeted us was so cheerful and welcoming (I'm sorry I can't remember your name but I think your middle name was Mary)! All of the staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and to meet our every need. Nothing was too much trouble and everything was done with smiles! Our main sever Katie was warm and cheerful and made our experience all the more enjoyable. The food was delicious too and very reasonably priced for the large portions! I had the roast pork and my husband had the vegan burger. My food especially was amazing - one of the best roasts I've ever had (and I've had a lot)! We only popped out for lunch as I had the Sunday blues and it really lifted my spirits. Thank you all so much for going above and beyond to provide such lovely service. We will be back again soon 😁

This unassuming little pub is a haven for those who enjoy a high quality restaurant with an excellent drink selection. The Hedgehog totes a simple paper menu, but each dish has been carefully thought through and is excellently presented to the customer. Specialities include their varieties of skewers, the steaks and their pizza selection along with a host of pub favourites. You might pay a little more than a typical pub, but the quality is worth it! We enjoyed a couple of skewers, the pork belly and the salt and pepper squid starter. Since the mains were so good we opted for a couple of desserts, including the famed "Flowerpot"; well worth a go! With outdoor seating and a cosy indoor restaurant, this pub clearly caters for all seasons and is a pleasant way to spend an evening in Lichfield.

We have been staying at Hedgehog for three days because we are writing the biography of the musician Muzio Clementi. This was his house from 1828 to 1831. The service is excellent and so is the cuisine. I forgot to ask the name of the person in charge who received us. A very nice, welcoming and hard-working young woman. I hope she reads it. There are all kinds of people, old, young and children and the atmosphere is pleasant and calm, despite being very busy. You can also eat or have a drink at any time (for Spaniards, this is essential). The rooms are comfortable and quiet and are named after historical figures from Lichfield. Of course, we have also slept in room no. 2: Muzio Clementi. Ah! And Lichfield is amazing!

Eines der schlechtesten Hotelzimmer, in dem ich geschlafen habe. Es ist dreckig, verstaubt und in den Ecken und an den Fenster gibt es schwarzen Schimmel. Der Wasserdruck in der Dusche ist nicht vorhanden und man benötigt 20 Minuten bis der Körper überhaupt einmal mit Wasser benetzt ist! Das ganze Hotel wirkt ungepflegt und in die Jahre gekommen. Täglich ging mehrmals der Feueralarm an und das zu unmöglichsten Zeiten! 06:00 Uhr morgens, 21:30 Uhr abends, der Manager meinte, die Abzugshaube ist schuld und funktioniert nicht. Für den Preis, ist es wirklich eine Frechheit! Keiner fühlt sich für irgendetwas verantwortlich und man wird nur vertröstet
