My dad came over for a spot of lunch and we fancied giving The Feathers a try for food. I've popped in several times before for drinks and always enjoy the ambiance.

Eating out is a minefield when you have food allergies, but fear not... You're in safe hands! Not only is there a separate menu specifically for gluten free, vegetarians and vegans clearly indicating suitability, but the staff themselves proved highly knowledgeable and took the time to run through all of my requirements.

My dad ordered the lasagne from the main menu (which he highly recommends) and I chose the Gluten free Fish and Chips. The food arrived quickly and was well presented, it tasted just as good as it looked. So often fish and chips can be soggy and tasteless, however the batter was light and crispy, the fish itself was generously portioned and chunky. Safe to say we were both stuffed by the end!

Among a great selection of Gluten Free main meals was an even more tempting desert menu! Pushed for time (and room for more food!), the staff very kindly wrapped me up a piece to go. Best cheesecake I've had for a long time! Plain vanilla but not too sweet and flavoured to perfection. The base was absolutly spot on too, No soggy bottoms here! Firm but crumbly when eaten, I wish I'd ordered two!

If you like good home cooked food, greqt ambience and friendly staff, give The Feathers a go, you...

The pub was grotty and dingy. I ordered a steak and it was absolutely terrible. It's not even that it was overcooked or anything - it was slightly, but it was the actual meat itself. It wasn't gone off but it tasted like the cheapest nastiest feed lot beef you could ever imagine eating. It was grissely and greasy tasting. Honestly it was disgusting. I have had better cheap steaks from Aldi and Lidl, I kid you not. I have seen cheap steaks at B&M for £2.50. I have never tried them but I imagine that is what this steak was similar to. It was the worst quality steak I have ever had in my life. If it was just a case of it being overcooked I wouldn't have said anything but it tasted so nasty I didn't want to eat it so I complained and you would not believe the attitude of the waitress. She made me feel guilty for complaining and she kept arguing with me saying how fresh the steak was. It was "fresh" but that was never the issue. She agreed to change my order to a chicken curry but she had an attitude with me for the rest of the time I was there and we got charged for the steak, not the chicken curry. The curry was okay but I am convinced the sauce was out of a jar, not freshly made. The customer service in this place is...

I booked Christmas Dinner at the Feathers as my elderly parents wanted to and deserved to be pampered today. On top of this the last few weeks had been tough because my Aunt had a cancer diagnosis and my Mum has recently come out of hospital. Today has been the first time she has been out in over a month apart from her stay in hospital.

We arrived to a pleasant welcome, I booked the table for 5 but my Aunt was unwell. Mike and Tracey were amazing and really were attentive to my Mum throughout our meal. They went above and beyond my expectations to make her day as comfortable as possible. Also another member of our party has special dietary requirements which were sorted in advance of our visit. They were able to enjoy a full compliment of the 4 course meal with adaptations which were very much enjoyed.

The food was lovely and certainly plentiful in fact some of us couldn't manage it all but we all enjoyed what we had.

Again the staff were pleasant at all times and it really made our day especially my Mum who felt comfortable and at ease at all times.

Excellent work and deep heartfelt thanks from us all as today will leave us a long lasting memory to treasure. Merry Christmas and...

Hi I perform here regularly with the house band and help host on Tuesdays. Many years ago I used to go to the jam night at the Grapes Stafford and was gutted when it stopped. Never thought I'd see that kind of atmosphere or setup ever again..... Until I found the Feathers! If you want a top night out with food, drink, banter and incredible bands....look no further. Mike and Trace make you feel part of the family, and even the band! We have some incredible times on that famous stage and it must be seen and heard to be believed! Amateur or pro, all levels of singer and musician have joined us on stage and returned for more fun week after week. It's a major fixture in my diary now and Mike and T really helped me emerging from covid when I was literally on my own in life. Try it. Come down. Book a table. Enjoy these incredible moments of live music and food/drink rolled into one! You can check out anytime you like.... but you can never leave!

What a gem! Visiting Lichfield and found The Feathers Inn, who allow parking of motorhomes overnight if you are buying a main meal and drinks. We chose Saturday night, and the live band The Mighty Boing were playing. We had a table booked for dinner at 7pm, usual pub grub, steak, burgers, pie, curry, lasagne etc. Good range of beers ans ciders on tap. Food was great and reasonable priced. The highlight was that at 9pm, when the band stayed, this place comes alive! Dancing, singing and great sound and light system. The landlord/lady have a winning recipe here and we can't wait to book again.

I think there is misunderstanding about service animals that they if trained correctly and there is a medical reason IE I have a hart problem so my dog has to be of a lead to get me help and is professionally trained as many round Lichfield have seen and can verify that she doesn't leave my side and is under my complete control. Legally like a pair of glasses she is classed as a medical aid. There for the have discriminated against a medical aid to be used in there premises by the owners wife. I also recorded on video so we will see what happens under the equality act 2010
