We went into Cooplands today 14.01.22 for the first and last time. There seemed to be only 2 staff so the wait was long. The one who served us came across as rude, not just to us but the customer prior. They had ordered chicken tikka over a jacket potato only to be told, we don't do chicken tikka anymore. The menu very clearly stated a choice of toppings which said chicken tikka. This should have been removed from the menu or at least covered up or a sign to say they no longer do it.
The menu we were looking at gave an option of regular or large for sandwiches/rolls. We ordered 2 large baguettes, she confirmed the filling and i said yes please both large to an answer of, baguettes are only 1 size. They must be under the charge for large as it was an exorbitant charge for what we had. There was hardly any filling in them and we don't believe that the baguettes were baked off, they were not like any actual baked ones we've ever had, they were definitely not made with love.
We just wanted to grab a quick tasty bite, but we ended up with a non baked tasteless lack of filling baguette, which we were charged the large price for. It was a waste of time going there as it was that disgusting and it's £6.80 of food we had to throw in the bin.
Would we go there again? Nope never Would we recommend it? No way What advice would we give about this place? Steer...
Read moreTo start with the bad feedback, it's simply a case that the atmosphere in this Cooplands is impacted by the fact that it's tiny. I hate a queue at the best of times, but if people are in the street, there'll be a Coop pork pie with my name on it instead. Beyond that, the staff are constantly making things to order prior to those in the queue going to work. I imagine that it can be a stressful job at these times, as everyone wants specific things in their sandwiches or breakfast baps. I think that the Carlton Centre shop deals with these busy times incredibly well, whilst also managing online deliveries. They're good communicators and get through a queue in good time. Carlton Centre shop is always very well stocked with everything too. I do the full breakfast in a bap with a drink deal for £4.85 sometimes, which is great value. That includes things like espressos which is handy for tired folk! But yeh, overall, the Carlton Centre Cooplands is worth a visit if in the area as there's loads of...
