Mexican House — Restaurant in Liverpool

I ordered this as a takeaway to celebrate a 40th birthday meal. Spent nearly £100 as there were several adults eating.

The food took nearly an hour and a half to arrive.

There was a missing food item, a Chicken Chimichanga, which meant that the birthday girl was left without her meal!! I promptly contacted Mexican House to rectify the situation, their response was not being bothered tgat they had not delivered an item and said they'd send it when they could as it was busy!! We were waiting to eat together, as a celebratory meal and I thought, refund will be easier than a meal that turns up hours later and we didn't want the food to go even less warmer than it already was.

When I asked for the refund, their reply was, we'll do it tomorrow!! How dare they!! They'd already ruined a special meal!! I did not receive a refund with them and contacted them numerous times!!

I paid for something that I did not receive, that is robbery!! Thieves!!

You need to come here. Our daughter was competing in an event at Aintree International Equestrian Centre and as we were staying locally, we found this place on Google. Well, what a find! The mixed skewer was tender, moist and flavoured with delicious herbs and spices. Honestly the best I’ve had. And the rice was totally delicious - perfectly flavoured and not dry, like so many Mexican eateries. My wife and daughter had the mixed tacos. Being 8, the beef was a touch too spicy for my daughter BUT we were warned in advanced by the owner, who gave amazing service throughout and was very chatty. I got the kebab just in case the tacos were too hot, and my daughter wolfed down the grilled chicken and lamb. She’s really fussy when it comes to meat - if it’s tough or fatty she will not eat it. The Malbec we ordered was not available, but the replacement Merlot was delicious and complemented the food well. Fab gem of a Mexican restaurant, great food, great start and great value for money Where do I start! Great welcome walking through the door, lots of talk about the menu. We love Mexican food and haven’t found a good place until now. Food was the best I’ve ever had, the seasoning and taste was just perfect I’m not a hot spice loving person and the flavours were absolutely spot on. The nachos starters were divine, as were the potato skins. We both had fajitas, him Steak me mixed with prawns. They came out sizzling like mad, with all the pots of sour cream, guacamole, cheese and gorgeous flour tortillas. How have we not found this gem of a place before. Staff were just lovely and Dilip gets a special mention for being the friendliest restaurant owner we have ever met.
