What a wonderful, authentic old pub. The staff and customers are friendly and welcoming, and the location is very olde worlde.

They have a selection of top class cask ales. I enjoyed a few Weetwood to while away the time after my train was cancelled, and now I am grateful for the delay.

I loved this place as a student 25 years ago, and although I now live many miles away, I've kept a place in my heart for it ever since - I can't say that about many pubs!

I loved how welcoming the environment was, how friendly the staff were and how much fun the locals were to drink with and chat to. Some great characters, most of whom I forget the names of (sorry guys), but 'Phil the Bus' sticks in my mind.

I hope to come back down memory lane for a pint of FA one...
