YourThai Cafe — Restaurant in Liverpool

Our usual place was closed so we took a chance on a review site. It paid off. This small restaurant is on a busy inner city road and we drove past it at first. There’s only about 8-10 basic tables and the menu is small but the quality is excellent. Everything on the menu is authentic and freshly prepared. The kitchen is open and the chefs were busy busy busy. The waitress was just the right level of attentive without being intrusive and there was a steady stream of customers picking up their takeaways. Everyone was greeted well and attended to. The staff are all friendly and keen to assist. The place isn’t licensed but that’s not an issue as it’s the food that is the draw. We had the cashew nut special starter. Loved it. I rate Thai on the soup, get that right and you know you’re on to a winner and this was spot on. The perfect balance of spice and flavour. We had 2 starters 2 mains and shared the home made ice cream. Delicious. The whole lot was under £40 which is a bargain. By the time we left, all the tables were full. Service was fast and the tables cleared and cleaned quickly. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars for atmosphere is simply because there is such a demand for takeaway that although small, it doesn’t have the intimacy- but it was absolutely worth the 45 minute trip. 5 Star all day. Absolutely stunning food which is very reasonably priced. Have recently come back from a holiday in Thailand and this restaurant is probably one of the most authentic Thai restaurants that I’ve been to. Food tastes exactly like the real thing. Highly recommend the Satay Chicken and Pad Thai. Infact, everything I ordered was cooked to perfection. The waiter was really lovely, hard working and friendly. Made us feel welcome, there was only one chef and she absolutely rocked the kitchen like a Pro. I take my hat off to you. Delicious food served in a timely manner, even though the restaurant was full. We will definitely be returning soon. The restaurant is quite small so I’d recommend booking a table in advance if you’re a large party. When I moved to Liverpool the very first place somebody ever suggested for me to try was YourThai cafe. I finally got to visit this weekend after wanting to go for ages. We ordered a collection for Friday night. The food was sensational, some of the best food I’ve ever had, not just in Liverpool but ever. We ordered the Pad Thai, Tofu Massaman, spring rolls, chicken satay skewers and fries. Everything was perfection and travelled home really well. Portions were the perfect amount.
