Greeted warmly into the restaurant , we were shepherd into the back as the front was to cold. We sat down and looked around and it seemed well decorated. Toilets were clean as expected. The menus were well laid out and nice and clear. We ordered the set menu of starters and mains. At this point we became cold and uncomfortable. We got moved nearer to the front in which seemed better. The food arrived , I ordered the sea food and my partner the lamb on skewers with rice. The sea food and pasta was very nice and nice. My partners lamb was undercooked. We asked for it to be cooked again in which they did. When it arrived it seemed cooked on the outside but inside looked the same, the taste I experienced was poor. At this point the musician started to play , another problem when your trying to talk. Then two couple sat next to use and stated they wanted to move due to the guitar playing in her ear hole. We all got a bit uncomfortable, all they need to do is move him to the front or play background music through the speakers in the ceiling. We were given a complimentary drink and a chioce of another dinner but I suppose we weren't in the mood at that point. Just to wrap up I was expecting a higher standard of food and a nice experience unfortunately it wasn't. I'm not sure if I would attend again , if I did it would have to be in the warmer months and the guitar players night off. This is my opinion off the night and...

I recently visited Ambrosia with a Groupon voucher and was met with a series of frustrating miscommunications and a disappointing meal. After calling to confirm a reservation, I was told I could book until 5 PM on Thursday and was assured that all I needed was to bring my voucher. However, upon arrival, the staff flatly refused to accept it, claiming reservations could only be made online. This was never mentioned during my phone call, which felt like a classic “computer says no” situation.
What made matters worse was the staff’s complete lack of acknowledgment or apology for their mistake. We reluctantly decided to stay and pay out of pocket, but that turned out to be a grave error. The next morning, both my husband and I were hit with severe food poisoning. It was truly the dinner from hell.
After I recovered, I called the restaurant to report the issue and spoke with the manager. Unfortunately, she was indifferent and offered no real apology or resolution—just a vague promise to speak with the kitchen staff. Overall, this experience was incredibly disappointing, marked by poor service and food safety concerns. I certainly won’t...
Read moreAmbrosia is a lovely restaurant and has gone through a lot of changes since I was last there. Apart from the starters having to be returned because they weren't cooked properly the food was very nice and great service. Would go again.
Was here last night to celebrate my birthday. Lovely weather so sat outside. Staff were flexible with timing so we weren't rushed. Went in and had a lovely meal.
Ambrosia is fast becoming my favourite restaurant to go to. Was there last night.
I tried the tacos starter for the first time. It was filling with great flavours. I hate raw onions but it didn't over power the dish and with the other sauces I was able to eat it without having to pick it out.
I had truffle burger with chunky chips. The food is very tasty. My burger was done to my taste and very juicy.
Along with a glass of rose and a pina colada. Very happy. Our server Fredo was very attentive and gave us a baileys shot on the house. Lovely surroundings.
Only downside is parking is limited but that's normal in London!
I look forward to coming back and teyi6some of the other starters!
I also want to go for Sunday roast and try the...
