EAT HERE!!! (I'm also adding CHOCOLATE SAMOSA at the start to grab your attention) Sorry for shouting, but I wish I could give 6 stars. This is the best indian food I've had in a very long time, if not ever. Forget your standard poppadoms, chicken tikka massala and onion bhaji, go with naga chicken wings, paneer momo or wonton, South Indian cuisine at it's finest, this food is incredible. The staff are so welcoming and helpful, the menu is so different, yet incredible. The platter for starter was out of this world, from the salmon, to the chicken, to the lamb, sheek kebab and then chicken wings. The mains are a different level, you won't find this outside of Michelin star and certainly not for this price. You can feel the love and passion that goes into every plate and every meal. If you're still reading now, you're about to find about the CHOCOLATE SAMOSA for dessert! Why this isn't the staple in every curry house in the entire UK I don't know, but I'm happy I've found it here and I would go back just for this even if the food was average. But it's not, this restaurant is curry not as you know it, or even what you think it should be, it's what you're local Indian was born to be and wishes it was. Just go here and try for yourself! Before I forget, great for vegetarians, every main is available as a vegetarian option as well, all prepared separately so there's no cross contamination! Basically my review is, "EAT HERE, you won't regret it!", unless just boiled rice, chicken tikka massala and a few poppadoms is what you want, in which case this restaurant is wasted on you. 6 stars!

It was the second time I went to the restaurant because I liked my first experience when I went and I was served by the owner’s son which was provided a pleasant service as well as the other waiters. Today was a different story! The boss was out, one person serving and no attention to detail or care for the customers. I stressed to not make the food spicy, message was not passed to the chef and at first bite I spat straight into the plate. I requested to be taken away and the chef suggested other and tried to understand what I was talking about. Asked for the bill, two poppadums £0.70 each, and on the receipt I was charged for that and the tray with the spices £3.50 that wasn’t even on the menu. I questioned the waiter about the bill and he kept saying you ordered and ate them, when we just touched one as the others weren’t to our taste. I gave a second change to the restaurant because my first experience was amazing and because the son of the owner said just request with no spice. That is what I have done today but went all the opposite way. Also my partner ordered something that was £10.95 and we got charged an extra £1. We just realised after leaving the restaurant and did not want to go back. Sorry but no thank you! No wonder they are all shutting. It’s a shame it all changes when the owners are not around.

We went to try and sit and eat at this place 'fine dining' indian restaurant. They told us they were full so we ordered to take away. Then two white gentlemen came in, the waiter shouted across the room they had no booking, and the guy said give them that table. When I approached the lady to quert how come they got a table she tried to lie they had prebooked even though it was clear they did not as there was no mention of a booking at all. Then she even tried to pretend they booked and asked the waiter 'they booked didn't they' his response 'umm yea 5 to 10 minutes ago' (we had got in there 15 minutes before) then she corrects him and says 'oh you mean 30 minutes ago right'. Then we get home and the lamb tikka masala is floating in watery super sweet sauce as if its a korma. Even after I specifically asked the lady for a non sweet mild curry. Ordered a replacement and it's just the same. Been to many many Indian restaurants and never got a tikka masala like this. Ruined our whole meal. Waste of money. Should have ordered from chaseside tandoori or fiza. For fine dining, its a shame tandoori nights is closed now in cockfosters. From their prejudice, to lying, to their food, we will not be going there again. Not sure where they got the good reviews from.

We went there on Saturday evening, they greeted us well and we ordered food within 5 minutes. We have been waiting for more than an hour, and I don't see our order coming anytime soon. When I asked the waiter, "Why are they taking so long?" he replied they were extremely busy. There were only 3 tables booked in the entire restaurant. The funny part is that two guys came way after us, and their order came way before us, strange! Since it was taking longer and longer, I asked another waiter why they were taking so long. He said that they are extremely busy with one big takeaway order. I asked him, but we ordered first, and we should be served first. He replied that your order is not as big as the takeaway order. That is pathetic. They clearly give more priority to bigger orders, and they don't give a dam how long you have been waiting for your order. The funny part is when they finally brought our order, the starter came the last, and each dish came 5 minutes later than other. They even forgot to bring the rice, which I had to remind the waither, and he finally brought it when we were done with the food. It was one of a he'll experience, and I finally understood what type of customers they give priority to. I will not be going their again. Since most of my friends and family live around the area, I will make sure to spread the word in order to avoid this place. I am really sorry for this review, but I was really disappointed with the service yesterday, and hopefully, you work on this behaviour. Every customer is important. Their time is important, no matter if their order is big or...

Terrible experience for the second time.

My Partner and I visited a few months ago, we chose our mains and sides, initially my Partner's main did not come up at the same time as my main, side dish and nan bread my Partner's main dish took so long to come up when it did the rice was cold, the owner took so long to replace the rice and was not even brave enough to bring it to the table himself. We gave this restaurant a wide berth for a good few months and returned this evening due to good reviews on Trip Advisor and give it a second chance this evening was a similar story only my Partner ordered chicken madras and was served chicken tikka madras with no explanation, on mentioning this to our miserable waiter he advised that he would change is for as ordered a chicken madras only for the owner to come to out table and and advice that they had soold out of plain chicken the chicken madras was taken from our table and promptly replaced with a so called chicken madras but resembled a microwaved chicken soup, it was steaming, sauce had no taste was as thin as water chicken was tasteless and rectangular in total it was inedible. The owner is a liar / magician advising of no chicken and then producing a so called rectangular chicken madras soup. Waiter was miserable no attention other tables also served incorrect food by miserable waiting staff and another table waiting on a forgotten order. A simple decision not to return to this fine dining restaurant was an easy decision to make. AVOID if want what you order and want a good curry...
