Barnet Cafe is a true hidden gem! This lovely, family-run cafe has won my heart over with its warm, welcoming atmosphere and delicious offerings. I first discovered this charming spot in 2020, and it has since become my regular haunt, a testament to its consistent excellence.

My personal favourite is their mouthwatering steak, a dish that I find myself coming back for time and time again. This restaurant used to be Jenny's (and Wimpy before that I believe) but a few years ago it closed for refurbishment to reopen as the "Barnet Cafe". The original staff from Jenny's (a short guy who did the cooking and a taller guy with a lazy eye who took the orders) were absolutely brilliant - the best service and best food ever, seem to have gone to be replaced with a bunch of amateurs who aren't anywhere near the same league of customer service or efficiency. But the current staff seem to have improved on my latest visit (they actually took my order within a reasonable time - I walked out before ordering the time before) and the food was top notch and delivered quickly. I've been here 2 times and no complaints whatsoever. The staff are friendly and good at what they do.

The service is SO fast, I only waited about 2 minutes for my breakfast, and I could customise the traditional breakfast to take off an item and swap it with another fried egg, they didn't mind at all.

The portion size is quite generous, they give you plenty on the plate so I was happy with the amount I've paid for.

The atmosphere is nice, it's a very clean and cosy area with nice tables. Very comfortable to eat in here because of how hygenic the customer space is.

I'd for sure come again, it really did cheer me up and I would be delighted to eat here again...
