If you like a pretentious environment, rude staff, and overpriced food, then this is the place for you! 🥳

On arrival, one of my friends asked a surly looking waiter “is this the entrance?” The waiter, with a look of utter distain, replied “Do you have a booking?” of which we did. Once we’d said ‘yes’ his demeanour changed and took us inside with a forced smile.

Inside, our waitress wasn’t much better. Hardly cracked a smile throughout serving and was as surly as the waiter outside. We ordered a bottle of wine to share between the table and although not a problem at the time, the waitress only brought 5 of 6 wine glasses. She then proceeds to pour the wine for everyone, except for the friend without a glass. My friend then politely asked if he could have a glass, to which the blunt and grumpy reply was “it’s coming.” 😑

I’ve worked as a waitress for a long time, and a little humour goes a long way… even adding a jokey “don’t worry, we haven’t forgotten you!” would have been better then the miserable response we received.

The food (taste wise) was fine - although the croquets were just cheese mush, but the whole menu is insanely overpriced for the portion sizes. We got a few things to share between us, promptly paid the bill and left.

Overall, I give this a 2/5, purely for taste of some of the dishes and the fact we were in and out in 45 minutes 😃 wouldn’t recommend, there are much nicer places in...

Overall a good place. The service was good but one of the staff members was haughty. The atmosphere inside is great on a sunny day - the place is nicely decorated and has a large window on the first floor, so you have a great panoramic view. The food was good with some great options but it is really overpriced. Pan con Tomate tasted well but obviously had a plain taste. Parton peppers were good. Cod croquettes - their special menu offering - were great. I did not like the tortillas that much (both classic and the prawn versions) - the texture was weird and I’d love to see deeper flavour in the classic option. Tuna tartare was great. Cod Pil Pip tasted too plane in my opinion and I expected way more. Gambas Rojas were just okay and nothing more - they were small and at 5GBP per piece - astonishing price. Ox cheek fritters were amazing! Lamb skewers were great too - the meat was tender while not fatty. Chicken thigh with romesco was great too, and features an amazing crispy skin. Tapa de entrecot was just fine - I’d expect a higher quality meat there. Patatas bravas were good, but did not have anything justifying the price. Overall the food is mostly tasty but you can find other places in London with same or better quality Spanish tapas food at almost 2x smaller price. Overall if money is not an issue or you need a place in this very neighbourhood then it’s a good option but not...

I walk my puppy sometimes around this area, Last weekend I was doing so, and she got off-leash and ran inside the restaurant's waiting area. She didn't upset any customers, she just stood by the side of the bar waiting for me. I don't want this to come across as the rant of someone who doesn't know how to control her dog, but what happened next was so troubling I can't help but to write it down in here. When I entered the waiting area a man, I am unsure if a waiter or front of house, was standing by the nar saying to the bar tenders how much he hates dogs, his look towards my puppy felt threatening. I should have said something, but I didn't, I put the leash on, and left quickly. But those words are still bothering me, there was so much intention on them. I know some people don't care for dogs, others are frightened, others dislike them, and that is ok, we ate entitled to our feelings and beliefs. I also know it is my responsibility to keep her on leash and responsive to commands. But saying such thing was so unnecessary, very problematic for me. **Food review below: I have been here with a friend for dinner, and the food was spectacular, especially the octopus. The white wine we had, was perfect for the food. If you are looking for superb spanish food, you must go. The service was good, great advice on...

1. The dish in the picture costs 42 pounds, but came out very burnt (see picture). What's more, it was so tiny. The dish came out in a pan that had literally just enough rice to cover the pan. 2. The waitress got our order wrong, then insisted that we ordered what was served, even though the three of us dining there recalled exactly what we ordered (we ended up eating and paying for the dish anyway because this was the first mishap that night). 3. The food took forever to come. We got hungry in between servings and had to ask our waitress to check on our food. 4. Worst of all by far was the manager who was so unapologetic. When we complained to her about everything, from the wrong order to the burnt dish, she just said "okay, so you want me to take the dish away?" while reaching for our dish, acting as if we weren't worth her time. Very rude, very unprofessional and completely unacceptable given the prices they charge. In the end, they did take the 42 pound dish off our bill. We ended up dining at another restaurant right after this because of their incredibly small portions and the manager's terrible attitude. We understand that things go wrong sometimes, but the manager should be able to handle customer complaints professionally.

Good flavor but *hygiene concerns* We dined here on a Thursday. The restaurant was super busy. The flavor of the food was good. The highlights for me were the mojama and the hake on cauliflower purée. Hake was very nicely cooked. The staff were all quite friendly, explaining the specials and giving good recommendations. The reason why I gave a three star was because of the hygiene. It’s definitely a good idea to have a open kitchen but that also means customers get to see everything that goes on in a restaurant. We sat at the bar; for the entire time we were there, the chef had not once washed his hands. We watched him touch raw chicken(#samonella) with his bare hands and then touch the seafood and all the condiments and herbs with the same hands, right in front of us. Worst of all, he even cut/made several raw fish dishes for various patrons with his bare hands. I felt lucky I didn’t order that dish with raw fish, but isn’t it common knowledge that you might cross contaminate the food if you don’t wash your hands in a kitchen?? Frankly I was a shocked. I’ve read a similar review from 2 years ago so obviously this *serious* issue has NOT been addressed. #foodsafety
