Only our first visit, nice place, very welcoming, we sat outside as it was a nice day. The menu was a little limited if I'm honest (no sign of a chip anywhere) maybe my mistake for thinking this was more a cafe, but no drama's. The food was fantastic (hot salt beef, mustard pickles in toasted bread) the drinks also nice, iced coffees. The only negatives I have, were, the young lady that took our order wasn't very knowledgeable about things on the menu ( maybe a new starter so could be forgiven on that front) the time it took to actually come to take our order, and then the time it took to actually receive our food and drinks was a bit too long in my opinion. The owner is very knowledgeable and passionate about coffee (ask him to sell you some of their fabulous union coffee beans to use at home and he'll grind them accordingly and give you tips on how to make the best possible cup at home) and goes out of his way to look after his customers. Courtessy at it's best in England...Area is about 2 hours from London but when I was there you had to be equally prepared for sudden wheather changes and windy and rainy conditions...But this is England...they used to say that the " sun never shines on the British Empire "...maybe, but there is occasional nice weather also.
