I recently dined at Cacio e Pepe and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a charming ambiance that transported us straight to Italy. The menu is a culinary masterpiece, featuring an array of authentic Italian dishes made with the freshest ingredients. I started with the bruschetta, which was perfectly seasoned and bursting with flavor. For the main course, I opted for the handmade pasta, which was cooked to perfection and paired with a rich, flavorful sauce. Every bite was a delight! The wine selection is impressive, offering a wide variety of Italian wines that complement the menu beautifully. The staff was knowledgeable and provided excellent recommendations that enhanced our dining experience. To top it all off, the dessert was simply divine. The Pistachio cheese cake was light, creamy, and the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. Overall, Cacio e Pepe exceeded all my expectations. The food, service, and atmosphere were all exceptional. I highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for an authentic Italian dining experience. Five stars all the way!

All the staff were exceptional, so attentive and happy despite the busy work conditions, the whole restaurant was full and it was only a weekday evening! Did not felt rushed even though you could see every table filled up, always asked once at the table if we needed anything else, and if we did instantly would bring it to us. The food was amazing! The only tiny negative I had was that the carbonara was too cheesy/stiff so after a couple of bites you our mouthful would be quite rich - but there was definitely enough food to go around the table to share between us so we could all try a bit of each others food; nevertheless, carbonara still had an amazing taste! Their seafood is so fresh. Honestly the best meal I’ve had in a very very long time and the family has said the same thing! 🤤 Dessert was amazing too! Would happily come back over and over again. Thank you everyone at Cacio e Pepe I’ll be dreaming of your lobster linguine until I next come 🤩

Good but not perfect. We had a nice meal, but for the price some bits were just a bit disappointing. The pasta menu is very basic, hardly any ingredients in the pastas, mostly pasta with different simple sauces. Could do with adding some chicken or veg to some of them The pizzas were loved by the kids. The Calimari is advertised as fresh baby Calimari, so would expect tenticles, but it's simple Calimari rings. Half of the mussles shells were empty. The T-Bone steaks are not proper T-Bone as they had only meat on one side and served with a small piece of meat separately as if it was on other side and fat not rendered so hard to cut and grissle in places, so not best quality. Was cooked well though and none chewy bits nice. The desserts were nice but expensive for what they were. The staff are all lovely and so much fun. Except the larger guy, he came across a bit in a rush and rude at times.

I had my son‘s first birthday at this restaurant with over 20 guests and let me tell you something. It was the best experience I’ve ever had. We have gone to many restaurants in the past. Have many bookings for many different birthdays but nothing came as close to this When we arrived to the restaurant and we had told the staff that the rest of the guest will be late there were nothing but understanding the make sure to accommodate us and even though they had to come back 100 times because we was not ready there was always polite and we never felt like we was being rushed. We was looked after so well that I honestly forgot that we was in a restaurant and I felt like we had booked a private hosting room. The manager and owner of the restaurant was so incredibly lovely. They came over introduced himself and made sure that we knew if we needed anything we could go to them as well. The constant flow of drinks and food was amazing. We did not have to wait long for anything. There was no mistakes made on the order. My child was screaming the whole night yet they did not come and complain poor faces or have any attitude towards it in fact they were very understanding and sweet about it. All the food in itself was so amazing. I have never had a pizza that tasted so authentic as the pizza that was ordered that night for the table. The lobster linguine was divine. Everyone enjoyed their steak my brother-in-law who is actually a steak enthusiast said that it was the best steak kid ever had in his life and that says a lot. I really highly recommend this place for anyone who wants to have a lovely dinner whether it’s for a party of 10 or something intimate like a date night I recommend this place very very highly thank you so much to the owner manager the waitresses and the chef who that night stayed very late and looked after us very very very well. We are so absolutely pleased with the experience that we had, we are going to be sure to visit this place again and again and again in fact I think we might make it the official birthday restaurant of our son amazing service 10 out of 10 highly recommend please go here ignore those bad reviews. They are not real. I really Do not believe that those reviews are real according to the experience that I had which I must add was on a very busy night where the restaurant was clearly...

AWFUL!!!! The service is shocking. We waited 45 mins for a menu. The bread basket came out- French stick. Little disappointing when in an Italian restaurant, accompanied by a soup bowl full of cheap olive oil a teaspoon of balsamic at the bottom. Most unpleasant.

The starters took another 40 mins to come. Tiger prawns (charged at £11) 2 and a half (not 3) prawns on the biggest plate you’ve ever seen on top of a bed of wilted old lettuce. Aubergine parmigiana- dripping in oil and extremely bland. Aubergine was like mush and the tomato sauce had no flavour.

The mains The biggest plate of spag Bol and largest chicken escalope on top I have ever seen. Looked like a sharing platter…… most off putting. Accompanied with the wrong dish for my self. When I told the waiter he asked me twice what I ordered then came back and took away my fiancé’s dinner mid mouthful. The evening had now turned into a farce. A free glass of wine each and another 30 minute wait later they returned with the right dishes. I wish they hadn’t! My dinner the size of another sharing platter was under cooked pasta with another bland tomato sauce and poorly cooked seafood. Several of the mussels were still closed and the clams were just empty shells. The 1 king prawn still had the intestinal tract left in that split when I tried to remove it myself. That was the end for me.

When the waitress asked if everything was ok to which I replied no not really…..she went to get the manager. He walked over all sheepish and asked “did I want to pay with card or cash”!! Mumbled something under his breathe and walked off to get us a 10% off our next meal voucher.

Needless to say I will never return to this restaurant. Such a shame because from the outside appears...

Cacio e Pepe is a local treasure, delivering an authentic Italian dining experience that stands out in every way. From the moment we stepped inside, we were warmly welcomed, and our server, Gianfranco, set the tone for the evening with his charm and expertise. His knowledge of the menu was impressive, and his recommendations were spot-on. It felt like we were being guided through a true Italian culinary journey.

The food at Cacio e Pepe is simply outstanding. Every dish is crafted with fresh ingredients and meticulous attention to detail. We started with the burrata and prosciutto, a perfect harmony of creamy cheese and savory cured meat. The signature Cacio e Pepe pasta was perfection—simple yet bursting with flavor, with just the right amount of creamy pecorino and pepper. Gianfraco recommended the home made pizza cooked in their in house pizza oven - which was delicious.

The service was seamless, with Gianfranco ensuring that every moment was enjoyable, but never rushed. His warmth, attentiveness, and passion for the restaurant made the experience even more special.

Cacio e Pepe offers five-star food and five-star service, all in a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. If you're looking for the perfect spot for an authentic Italian meal with exceptional service, ask for Gianfranco—you won’t be...
