Caffè Nero — Restaurant in London

Very nice atmosphere, always good relaxing music and friendly staff. Cakes and treats are quite good quality and the coffee is good IF they do it right. There has been a few times lately where they haven’t steamed the oat milk properly. We watched them and it’s because they turn it on and leave it to do other things which means they can’t feel when it’s too hot and it burns. This then gives a bad taste and no froth.

Then we feel bad as we have to go up and ask them to redo it so it looks like the photo below, as it should be. Before it was just coffee with some water bubbles. Massive difference and I think they need to be okay with staying with the milk and “waste” a few extra seconds to make a proper coffee. If it’s too hot to drink right away, it’s not done right.

Always loathed coffee shops, never visited any in 40yrs but when I ve discovered I got free hot drinks via work I have thought why not treat myself. wasn't sure if applied for teas ( not black teas) so I had to check it with staff 1st obviously. Place Wasn't packed yet but the whole atmosphere was just disturbing already for me loud music loud equipments, no logic in serving. . then I hit the roof when brunette lady was so rude when I ve enquired,then nearly barking at me when my display went dark, trying to make scanner work. I worked in an independent caffee shop part time yrs ago, I didn't feel like smiling all the time I but wouldn't be shorty with customers. Disappointed 😠I walked in and looked around where to sit and most tables were messy with cups and trays I would understand if the shop was busy but was very very quite. I then ordered a hot chocolate with cream on top I then tasted the cream and it was really sour which means it’s off ( happened also in the surbiton cafe Nero ) too seems like they are not up to date with checking there products.

Also when I went over and told the lady behind the counter that the cream was off she took it off me no apology from her and said I’m going to make a new one then placed it on a mat at the front and walked away and continued to go on her phone.
