Had a really poor experience last night. Took my friends there as had been before and the food was amazing. When we arrived around 4 pm the hostess told us they were only serving pizzas till 5 . So we said we were happy to have drinks till 5 and then order. We were sat at a lovely table . We ordered drinks and a pizza to share between us to tide us over till 5 . Our waiter was lovely and very attentive and the pizza was delicious. We then ordered more drinks and at 5 ordered meals . We were offered the dessert menu but declined and ordered more drinks . At 6 pm another dude with an ear piece arrives at out table , we are still drinking our drinks . He tells us he needs us to vacate the table as its booked and can we move to the bar . We were surprised by this as nothing had been mentioned to us . We paid the bill and moved to the bar with our drinks . We then noticed that no one was at our table and it was empty till just after 7 . We are all professionals in the food industry so we understand how things are , but the restaurant had quite a few empty tables and by now we were annoyed, it was noisy at the bar and difficult to all talk to one another plus uncomfortable. We approached the dude with the ear piece and he was a bit unreactive with our complaint , if it wasnt for our lovely waiter over hearing what had happened and offering apologies and tokens for cocktails on our next visit i feel we would have been totally dismissed. This should never have happened, i can understand if we were just drinking to be moved but we ate food and spent a fair bit at your restaurant, we should not have been treated this way . The customer skills and organization is...

Went here on a Sunday with a friend for lunch. Got told by the guy at the door there should be at lest 45 mins wait if we want to sit on the main tables but no wait at the back. We figured that it’s reasonable consider that is Sunday afternoon so we decided to sit at the back to avoid waiting.

After we got seated (actually no one was seating us), we tried to order three coffee and 2 toasts but it took about 1 hour to get our food. And that’s after we tried to commute with one of the staffs about people from other tables arrived after us already start getting food. I also found it very odd when my friend trying to talk to the waitress she was talking to other people at the same time and while she keep her finger up and then leave in the middle of conversation without saying anything.

And finally after it’s getting a bit less busier we decided to leave but my friend told me that she is feeling stomachache cause the food. I imagine it could be something that she ate earlier during the day so I ask if she wanna take a walk. After about an hour I started to feel pain in my stomach as well.

I think I can see this place have the potential to become a popular lunch spot however I have to say the food quality and the service we had were very poor and the unpleasant food poisoned is the reason why I am leaving this comment. I hope it’s just because we were unlucky and I hope the owner can improve this...

First off, I have to say this isn’t the first time I’ve been to Caravan. I come here quite frequently but I’m upset with the recent service and malicious money-grabbing add-on tricks that could really put people off. For brunch, I ordered green eggs - and this dish served anywhere else would at least come with a side of small bread for no extra charge. The waiter sneakily slipped a “would you like bread with that” and I was like of course.. it’s an egg dish : I would eat it with bread : the server did not disclose that this bread, which should officially be part of the £12 dish was an extra £4!! When the food comes, I’m served two pieces of large toast as a “side” with butter, jam, and almond butter. That was completely unnecessary. I don’t eat dairy and i didn’t ask for almond butter and jam. Who eats savoury eggs with miso paste with almond butter and jam? Why are you trying to up-sell me something I didn’t ask for and charge me £4 for two pieces of bread with jam? What a complete waste of the sides as I didn’t even touch them as I only needed a SMALL piece of bread to complement my meal! If you’re going to charge £16 for a vegetarian breakfast dish - just be transparent about it - so your customers know from the get-go. Don’t act like insurance companies and have secret add-ons for ripping off your customers. We love your food and we sincerely didn’t...

When you wander I London you'll always find something new, or at least something changed in the city. Who would know that this new area was just behind kings cross. It's a whole new area to explore and new restruant to try out. My friend and I deciced to try Caravan Kings Cross and we found it alright. Making a reservation online and amending the reservation was super easy. On the day, when I presented myself to the host and said I have a reservation, I was escorted straight to the table, and the waiter came in less than 5 min to check if I wanted something to drink and put a bottle of tape water on the table without me asking. I ordered a ice tea and the waiter came and handed me a glass and the ice tea. I wouldn't make this as an issue but it was like 32 degrees summerheat and I was hot, so I wanted I've with my ice tea. Don't get my wrong the food is nice but I found my pizza a bit lukewarm. And my friend mentioned that it was more eggplants in the dish than chicken. The food is good but I don't think it's worth what they charge, the staff was excellent, customer attentive and interacted with the us. I enjoyed the place and I would definitely come back but next time I would come for a drink.
