Cha-Louis — Restaurant in London

We had a lot of hope in this place after seeing a post on Blackheath neighbour group and wished it was living up to Laicram’s reputation! We were impressed at first by the new decoration which is really beautiful, restaurant is clean, however, they need to stop using the term « authentic food » as it is simply a simple, corporate style, imitation of Thai food. Everything seems calibrated for each dish « 2 prawns/3 pieces of courgettes/2 pieces of peppers in a soup of sauce » for the curry… Will taste ok for most clueless people but if you’ve traveled to Asia before you’ll probably be getting a better, richer and more flavourful curry cooked at home. The service was the worst. -do you have a booster seat for children or a high chair? NO. Ok… -do you have a bag foR the take away? NO. Ok…. Will definitely not...

Beautiful restaurant, everything appears shiny and new but also done to a high end standard.

Menu isn’t extensive but that’s a sign of a good restaurant, and I must say the dishes were done very well. Tasty, authentic and presented very well.

Had some great drinks, but the prices were very good value for money overall and extremely affordable! Please don’t change!!! It’s refreshing to see something priced correctly and not feel overcharged!!

I had an amazing experience at Cha Louis! The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. The service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and efficient.
