I've visited Cintias on many occasions and the food and atmosphere has always been great. I decided to take a friend yesterday for afternoon tea and the experience was not as good. Gill who served us was not very welcoming at all. When placing our order and ordering the Tea Treat which says comes with tea OR coffee we asked for 2 tea treats and my friend asked for hers with a coffee. Gill seemed to be bothered by this and told us that it was not a Tea Treat we wanted but a Coffee Treat, let me Clarify the menu states Tea Treat and underneath says scone with jam and cream served with tea Or coffee. I then asked for coffee with mine and this seemed to bother Gill even more and again said we'll you do not want the tea Treat then do you, honestly this is not how you expected to be served when you are ordering exactly what it says on the menu. The experience left us feeling unwelcome as we ordered what it says on the menu and her attitude was not warm at all. It's a shame as our food was lovely and the selection they have is great and the service should match this which it...

Hidden gem in an unlikely surrounding!

Why didn't I do this before? In my previous visits to this local garden centre it never occurred to me to try the café - until I needed to waste some time waiting for a decidedly dodgy car-valeting. My loss, it seems.

Situated in a locally popular independent garden centre, it's not the place for a quiet candle-lit supper (although their extensive menu could easily handle that, were it a proposition). So based on a simple lunch of a falafel wrap served with a simple salad (or chips, see picture...) I take my hat off to them for the quality of the food that they serve. Served with simple good service, immaculately clean cutlery and bursting with flavour, this has to be eaten to be believed. Well done, and thank you!

The atmos is more local swimming pool than bistro - but it is inside a garden centre and clearly popular with those 'in the know'. So that is not really something that I care to drop points over. I wish them well and will definitely visit...

Have been a regular visitor for about 2 years now but unfortunately the service & food are not as good as they used to be. Today there were 4 of us took 20 mins just to order teas then another extra 25 mins to get attention of server to order food. The vegetarian breakfast came & it was complete cold, when sent back the chef argued that it was hot !!!!!. I had spaghetti bolognese & asked if it came with Parmesan cheese on top, a small side dish of Parmesan accompanied my food but when we received the bill I have been charged an extra £1.25 for this which is absolutely obsured. The cheesecake stated “Honeycomb cheesecake” it wasn’t as expected it had no honeycomb at all more of a toffee crumble, when I told the server that it wasn’t honeycomb flavour but more like toffee her answer was “yes it’s toffee cheesecake” NOT what I ordered at all. This was a very disappointing visit & we won’t be returning in the near future as experience was...

Excellent discovery thanks to Google Maps! This cafe is located inside the garden centre, and was very busy when we arrived. The food was excellent quality and the staff were very attentive and polite. The food took time to arrive, however the decor and ambience of the cafe is spot on. They have an excellent menu with an option for halal breakfast! The place was buzzing with people and although quite crowded it felt really pleasant. Really pleased with our lunch. Will definitely be coming here again and would highly recommend it to others for a nice weekend breakfast/ lunch.

Had reserved a table for 3 online for afternoon tea with dietary requirements. Upon arrival, they said they didn't have our booking! So we showed our confirmation, no explanation 🤔 However, we had a nice table and they had to ensure we had gluten-free as per our booking, so they substituted the scone. Sandwiches were fresh, scones with cream and jam were lovely, 3 small macaroons, and 2 small cakes. Served with a small bottle of prosecco and hot drink each. Staff were friendly and enjoyed ourselves.
