A beautiful English pub near Heathrow. Great ambience, very friendly and hospitable staff and delicious food. Visited recently for dinner and had a great experience. Very cosy vibe. They have lovely outdoor seating arrangements as well but in this cold weather inside seating was best. Good coffee, the Hot Chocolate was also delicious and perfect for a cold evening. Coming to food we ordered couple of dishes; -Smoked Grilled Chicken Peri Peri : Absolutely delicious, great portions and very flavourful. 5/5 -Veggie Burger : 5/5 -Soup of the day , Chicken and Leek Soup : it was perfect for the cold evening. Delicious. 5/5 -Crispy Pork Belly : Crisp and perfectly cooked. The apple puree along with that was a perfect ac which elevated the flavours. 5/5 -Milanese de Pollo : this was great as well. The pasta was really tasty as well as the chicken. The portion was huge. Everything we tried was wonderful. They messed up with the orders but they were very polite and kind about it and they rectified their mistake. Also we were offered complimentary Bread and Olives before our meals and they had some Baklava to offer too. Had an amazing experience and would definitely recommend this place. Would definitely...

We went there with a lot of excitement because it was close to Heathrow, and we had a traveler. We waited for him in this pub. We had informed them hours in advance when we would arrive, so they wouldn’t be under pressure and could prepare themselves since the kitchen closed at 9 PM. Unfortunately, the food was not good. The steaks were tough and not chewable. Worst of all, before we left the hall, they started cleaning with bleach just one meter away from us. The smell of bleach was suffocating, especially since my father has serious respiratory issues. We quickly told him to go outside before he inhaled too much, but the bleach was very strong and bothered him a lot. He kept coughing continuously, and I hope it doesn’t cause serious problems. I’m very sorry because I suggested this place as it was close to Heathrow. I don’t recommend this place at all. Don’t pay attention to the reviews from others. It’s not a good place for families. It is the manager’s duty to take care...

Not sure whether there has been a change in ownership/management recently but this place was such a disappointment compared to the average google ratings.. Dirty carpets, chair pads, sticky tables, place smelled of curry as there is a tandoori kitchen that operates from 5pm and overall the place needs a careful restoration as it’s a nice old pub.

There were other patrons who were just loud, and didn’t care about the others inside a small seating area. All the tables had reserved signs on but not many people came in… food - pretty poor unless it was Indian - which most seemed to have some level of crossover taste/mix. Service was ok and friendly. The setting and building are great - it’s such a shame to see this missed opportunity to show the travellers from nearby heathrow and others what a traditional English pub experience is…as a Brit that now lives abroad I wouldn’t recommend to anyone looking for an English Pub. Probably better curry houses...

Do not come here is all I can say really came here for a bite to eat and was terribly disappointed chicken on both mains were watery bland and rubbery and did not get touched after one bite also charging £1 for a sprinkle of grated cheese on chips was a bit excessive then when I brought it to their attention all I was told was you should have said before whilst eating although only one waiter was working and came to us only before we started eating and we were not approached at all after that, when getting the receipt the manager said they could not take the mains off and only offer 10% off which was £3 in the end so pretty laughable as he then proceeded to offer free desserts which we declined but he would not listen and was becoming very passive aggressive and persistent even going as far as to say I know you want one I can see it in your face which I thought was shocking

We wanted somewhere we could catch up with our cousin who we hadn't seen for a number of years. He wanted to go to a pub and my sister found details for The Plough. We were given a warm welcome, service was great and they were understanding when we needed more time as we'd be busy talking rather than choosing from the menu. I went for the chicken curry and my sister and cousin decided on the steak and ale pie - you can see from the photos that the portions were generous and the food tasted delicious! I'd highly recommend The Plough to anyone, it was the perfect place for a catch up and when I'm back in the area again I'll be popping in for another meal 🙂.
