Long awaited but worthy review: I will be stating both employee and customer perspective; The manager of this branch is a really horrible person to work with. She does not direct the staff, she scolds them and taunts them. This is the most disgraceful and illiterate way to manage the staff. Everyone would feel disrespected, some wont be confident in their training, and the rest would be following such horrible Footsteps with their colleagues. Everybody their uses the same ordering tone with the newcomers. The manager even does favoritism and ignores the trainees and keep them for cleaning most of the time. The one barista has already left cleaning the toilets which every barista is supposed to do. She orders the new joiners to do so with the same tone of manager, being her favorite. With this injistice, high level of poor management can be observed in this branch. With the pressure of memorizing and doing things right, oftentimes there are mistakes even in simple orders. Hence, There is a very high turnover of staff in this branch. She has the audacity to invite people for interview and reject them on the basis of already shared details over the phone interview. Staff cannot take their own initiative to perform a good customer service. She eats everything without buying, which is the rule for every employee, and expects the staff to buy. On the other hand, staff and customer both are shouted on. The manager is so proudy that she even scolds the customer when managing them. Customers laugh at her. Imagine the brand image which Costa is gaining. I have noted alot of customers who have stopped to come here with only a few loyal customers to see. She laughs on the face and disrespects both; employees and the customers. People passing by arent allowed to use the toilets, where every branch of costa has never stopped anyone to do so.

   Read moreI visited your Costa on the A28 on outskirts of Canterbury today. I chose 2 toasties and went to order 2 coffees and 2 cakes. I stood at counter and watched and listened to what was a very unprofessional man who was obviously the manager or acting manager [not an a lister for sure] pouring milk into jugs while a woman co worker relayed him a message as she was on phone possibly from another branch of Costa. He was very abrupt and dismissive to her and who ever was on phone. While this 5 minute call was taking place at no stage did either of them actually make eye contact or say "We will be with you shortly" I decided that I would not wait any longer and left the toasties on the counter and headed towards the door expecting one of them to atleast give me an apologetic look or a sorry even if they did it without pronouncing it. I then said " Excuse me" The man looked up I said "Your service was very poor" He said " I am making the coffee's and she is on phone to another shop" I turned to the door and went out. I would not mind but there was no one else waiting. The company I work for purchase around £2000 in Costa vouchers a month in Swale area. As I give them out to members of staff on a daily basis. As I am an area manager. But I am tempted to advise them to find a different franchise to get vouchers from. I am so shocked by the managers stance on keeping customers waiting. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was racially profiled at this specific store on the 21/10/25 at around 9:35am, I was in the queue and the person Infront of me paid cash and everything was fine, however when it was my turn to pay (I am a young black woman) I handed in a Ā£20 note and the waiter scrunched up my note and throughly looked through it for a good 60 seconds, and she was even looking at the note with a weird face insinuating the note was fake, after about 1 minute of scrunching the note putting it in the air she finally puts it in the till and gives me my change, there was a white couple behind me and even they looked at me strange and said thatās really weird, the way she investigated the note wasnāt normal but it was as though she knew straight off the bat it was fake, after she gave me my change I asked her if the money was fake and she said well if I put it in the tills then everything is fine, so I questioned why she only targeted me and did that to me and she said she has a right too, which I understand however when you are specially targeted it is not a good feeling especially because of how defensive she was acting, the white couple behind me even made a comment to me and said āif that was me handing her the money she wouldnāt have done all of thatā it was clearly racially motivated and it was really out of order and made me feel uncomfortable, Iāve previously paid cash where it has been inspected but never like this before where she looked at it in shock as if she was so sure it was fake, just for her to make me feel uncomfortable infront of everyone and put it inside the...
