Dawat Express Mitcham — Restaurant in London

I would like to expand on what my wife said below.

A few months ago, we noticed this new place in Mitcham. We ordered the mixed grill, kebab and biryani. It was fantastic: almost as good as my saas makes.

Next time we ordered kebab, chicken curry and naan. Again, fantastic.

We had a party for family over the weekend and after tasting the food previously, we knew that 20 members of our family, ranging from 11 to 80 years old would be happy with the food.

We had ordered to collect at 5pm and the guys said "oh, you're here for the big order - it will be 10 minutes because we want you to serve it fresh"

This is important. I saw the last of the kebab being mad and I saw the naan being cooked fresh (I don't know what other reviews were talking about frozen). The naan was kneeded and cooked in front front of me.

EVERYONE said that the food was amazing.. (and not in the way where they were being polite. Seconds, thirds, and there was even enough for people to take a tupperware)

I would like to thank everyone at Dawat Express for not only the fantastic food, but the fantastic customer service too.

I visited Dawat - Mitcham location last night to order a small meal. I asked for a wrap of food, which he had served my friend and I twice before.

Last night became an issue and he tried to give me little of everything that I ordered and then tried charging me more than he had for the same meal I had twice before. When I asked why he shook his head and could not give me a response. I could also tell the man was talking about me in his language following Mt order, because his greasy head colleagues all came popping their heads around the door to have a good look at me.

Why did I also have to ask him to hand me a drink for my son three times after he had taken it out of the fridge.. Really weird vibe last night - can't see myself eating there again.. It's a shame that when you try to support a business, you're met with rudness and bad service.

I'm on of many people that frequent this place so they won't feel the loss of one customer, but go and see how rubbish the service is...

the man was really nice to me, I should of asked for his name but when I go back i’ll ask. The food was so lovely and i really enjoy it it’s definitely worth the price and the size and quality is so nice, it is for take away, there’s seats to wait but if you want your samosa for example hot and want to eat it on the way just ask to heat it up i guess if you aren’t taking it home, the mango lassi is made freshly in front of you 😍 so pleased and the place was very...
