Figges Marsh... what can I say? It's a triangle of grass with a path around it, tree-lined on one side where the main road is. When the sun is out, this place is often full and always popular with dog owners. Occasionally, a circus or fun fair is set up for a week or two, but other than that, it's usually just a grass field. There are no children's playgrounds here, but at one end, there are table tennis tables and equipment too keep fit with. The path that surrounds it is one mile long and called the Merton Mile. The side opposite the tree lined side has houses on it and the end nearest to Tooting station now has been boarded up, to allow work vehicles a place to stay while nearby works are being performed. There are also areas of wild flowers at each end, which are full of bumble bees in the summer. Overall, it's a pleasant place, despite being next to...

Nice oasis in the heart of Mitcham. Fun activities to do with family and friends. Occasionally there are events on in the park (Circus & Fun Fairs). People play games as small groups of family and larger team events. Nice place to have a picnic. Route map for joggers is available.

Only drawback is parking is very hard to find. Used to park on the grass verge of the park, but they have stopped that now, so makes it hard to get to the park. However, there are plenty of local buses that serve the park - hard if your bringing picnic materials with you.

Local groups of people do tend to have a BBQ and drinks on a Saturday night - but disgustingly leave all their rubbish/litter in the park! Absolutely disgusting whoever does this.

But otherwise, nice enjoyment. Also, there is a Lidl opposite, so makes buying drinks and snacks easier to enjoy the park...

Spacious park with outdoor activities for adults and children. A park recommended for a family outing.

It is like a green space more than a park but the length of the greenery is spacious and open for a number of activities such as an early morning jog, gym exercises on the free gym equipment provided and for a nice morning to afternoon stroll.

It used to be an area to avoid late evening although with the new additional nature conservation areas of plants and hedges (my area is coming along beautifully 100++ stars!!), it is a lot safer to walk through than before.

Overall a good green space to walk through. There used to be circus events on the greenery a long while back but I have seen any such events...

Good for a short dog walk but on the lead for some of it if your dog has, not a great recall. There is a busy road on one side of it. A path runs all around it so no need to walk on the grass. No cafe, no toilettes, yes wheel chair access, yes a large area of grass for football etc, an out door table tennis table, always being used during summer and out door gym equipment next to it. Shame it's all on the road side of the park. The park isn't big if you compare it to other places like Streatham Common. It's more like a locals park. Across the road is a small kids play area. It is not good for horse rideing, it's too small and definately unsafe for dogs and pedestrians. Took these pictures when we had snow this year

Nice bit of open space. Busy roads run all around the area. Can get very busy in the summer months with loads of rubbish left behind. People are to lazy to bin there rubbish or take it home with them. Plenty of alcohol is consumed on site, despite this being a non drinking designated area. Police station less than a mile away, but no sign of the police doing there job

This is a wonderful local park, particularly good for exercise. It has a pretty huge green space where you can walk dogs, play football or just relax and have a picnic. There is a footpath around it and benches alongside. There is also fitness equipment, as well as table tennis. It's amazing! Particularly enjoyable when the weather is nice.
