We returned to Eat LEBÖ last night. We come here often and we always have a fantastic experience here. This has to be one of my favourite restaurants in Ruislip(located in Ruislip Manor). Whenever I pass Ruislip Manor I always feel hungry because I think of Eat LEBÖ in the high street. The food was top class as always. For my starter no1,I went for the Original Halloumi. The halloumi was delicious and cooked well. The dish was presented beautifully too. For starter no2,I went for the Hummus. The Hummus is so fresh, creamy and delicious. The chickpeas added to the lovely presentation of this dish. For starter no3,I went for the Classic Chicken Wings. You can taste the charcoal grilled flavour and it was delicious. It also comes with a garlic dip too. The portion size was just right for this dish. For side no1,The Kale was delicious too,it has an oily flavour and it is crispy! For my main,I went for the Triple(picture attached). This dish comes with three meats with an option to have salad and rice or chips. You can also pick the sauce it comes with which is good. The sauce comes in a little tub(about 1/2 the size of a Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream tub,the sauce comes in quite a generous portion). All the meats in the dish were amazing. All of the meats have a delicious and deep charcoal grilled flavour. My personal favourite was the lamb, that was really tender and delicious. My close 2nd favourite was the chicken and my close 3rd favourite was the Lamb Kofte. The rice was delicious too, definitely some of the best rice I have ever had. I requested it without the salad. I also had the Honey Bang Dip which was super nice and had a sweet flavour which balanced out with the smoky flavour. I also had two drinks too. The Home Mint Lemonade was delicious, very sour but it had a good flavour and it was refreshing! The drink was beautifully presented, picture attached. The second drink I ordered was the Fanta Fruit Twist,it was very light and had a lovely flavour. The food was all great value for money, filling, beautifully presented and a perfect portion size. The atmosphere is nice,Sunday nights tend to be quite busy here but they play good music. The decor is beautiful and really cool too. The toilets are clean as well. I would highly recommend Eat LEBÖ,they have so many gluten free options on their menu and it is definitely too good to miss if you are in the Ruislip/Ruislip Manor area. The Premier Inn hotel in Ruislip currently operates without a restaurant,if anybody reading this review is staying there and looking for a restaurant, despite that this is a little bit further from the hotel,I would definitely recommend here. It is one stop on the Metropolitan or Piccadilly line from Ruislip to Ruislip Manor or if you choose to drive it’s approx a 6-10...
Read moreI had visited once with my daughter a few months back but only ordered Shawarma’s. It seemed decent with a very nice older male waiter whom was welcoming. Today upon my return it felt that my order was taken, food thrown together quickly, but pay and get out sort of vibe. I assumed a tripple grill, rice and salad was suitable for 2 adults given the amazing Turkish restaurants around Ruislip that offer the same deal would be sufficient food. Unfortunately it’s a very small portion which should probably be mentioned when ordering for 2. That’s just common good service as a server should know. When I explained to the female waiter it was unexpectedly a small portion she laughed and said it was standard basicly. I wanted to order another dish but she expressed the kitchen was busy which made me feel uncomfortable. The kid male waiter shrugged his shoulder when looked over when I explained and neither asked once how the food tasted. You would think even at some point either would ask how the food tastes but that wasn’t happening. It’s not about service here. That all being said I am soooo glad we only ordered extra bread as the amount of cinnamon in my daughters shawarma and taste of the meat wasn’t very good in terms of quality. I realised the bread is also the cheap bread from the Indian shops and the cheese used for cheesey chips is fake squeezable, cheap as chips cheese accept the cheap 😂. My daughter wouldn’t eat it as she’s use to fresh, whole foods. So- please don’t waste your time and money and eat at the other nearby local restaurants that serve similar cuisine. They are more genuine in their service and flavour of food. I think it’s also worth mentioning it’s not always about the portions too especially if the food is good but here from start to finish you just feel ripped off and that’s my whole point of...
Read moreIm writing this review as a matter of life and death.
3 stars have been awarded because the brand, food options, and general atmosphere look like a lovely place. This was our first time here.
However I have something more serious to report. Today my young son suffered an extreme allergic reaction to which he is now in hospital with.
Yes the menu states the ingredients. Yes the menu warns you about mentioning allergens but you cannot do that if don’t know you have any. We as a family have 0 allergens and cook and eat nuts and other things. So no. Allergens were reported prior to our meal because we eat everything.
Unfortunately, Upon giving my young son the cauliflower which had been fried in sesame sauce, his face got swollen, his eyelids closed and his tongue grew in size. We quickly gathered up the food and drove crazily to the hospital.
Now although the staff were accommodating they still made us pay the whole bill which just doesn’t seem right, considering the seriousness of what has occurred. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth. and seem obvious that this should have been wavered considering a child’s life was at stake. I think management need to review how they dealt with this situation, Instead of simply saying they “feel bad”.
Please, please this is a warning even if you're not allergic to anything, it seems these days new allergens and pollutants are popping up and it may be wise to test what you eat as a starter even if you HAVE NO PRIOR ALLERGENS. I don’t know what else to say?!
Be careful. Please be...
