Read moreAn authentic Turkish experience with a modern twist!
Found this place searching google maps looking for somewhere to eat following a visit to The Lightroom. Booked a table for me and a mate for 7pm.
We arrived slightly after 7pm and upon entering were instantly hit with the pleasant aroma of fresh bread mixed with spices instantly driving up our appetite.
The waiter sat us at our table and took our order shortly after. The menu was well refined and easy to navigate. We ordered the babaganoush and hummus to start, which the waiter advised came with bread, we then ordered the Black Sea Pride Pide (three cheese flatbread), the Seabass and Lamb kebabs for main. For drinks, we botj had a go at the fermented turnip drink which the waiter immediately advised us was an acquired taste and asked if we wanted to change our mind to which we declined as we wanted to try something new!
The hummus and babaganoush was utterly delicious with the freshly prepared flatbread, we of course had to order more bread as there's never enough! Our main dishes came out shortly after along with the pide both of which were faultless in flavour. We didn't have a bad thing to say about the quality, presentation or taste of the food.
Sadly, the dips and mains were so filling we had no room for dessert 😭. Perhaps next time as I would love to visit some try some of the other dishes, the lacmajun for example.
The fermented turnip drink definitely worked with the food, the salty sour flavour was definitely an acquired taste so don't order if you're not used to that kinda stuff!
Anyways, if you're in the area and want a proper Turkish meal then look no further!
Price wise, for this quality and flavour, absolutely worth...
