Golden Inn Restaurant — Restaurant in London

Went to this restaurant around 7pm in the evening. There was the manager whom was female and middle aged. It was 8 of us we reserved to go into the restaurant and as soon as we got in we had a table barely for 8. They had placed two chairs squished against the bar for my parents to sit in which was highly uncomfortable and when we asked to make more room she said "we are a small restaurant" and looked at us in despair and talking very loudly at us. My sister raised a point to tell her to lower her tone and we have not even sat down! From there we repeated again my parents were able to sit uncomfortably in the corner of the table and then eventually the lady agreed to move the table to make room.

From there our mood was spoilt and we just sat down and started to order drinks which she had done so. She bought out the drinks and then I had a pint of coke however requested it without ice when she was giving it to me and again she looked at me in despair and went back to the little bar and started speaking in her own language which I think is Cantonese to her male colleague who was around 25-30 ish of age.

We ordered our starter and she said "If you waste any food you will be charged" which made us slightly uncomfortable so we decided to order in little portions at a time.

When the lady bought out so called clean plates there was a long black hair in my brothers plate which seemed to be beard hair or something similar which my brother does not have long facial hair so it was not his and when my brother complained the lady got really defensive and said well its not ours and accused him of placing a hair in the plate! From there she took the plate away and replaced it.

I normally do not leave reviews, but as for this, I am compelled to do so. New in the area and based on the images on the website of the food and other reviews, I made my order. probably the worst chinese I have ever had, I'm not sure if this was a bad day for them, however it was almost like everything I ordered was left overs from last week. the salt and pepper ribs may as well of been 1 small dehydrated rib cut up and put in a small container, virtually nothing but dry small bones with the odd meat on it and not even enough to feed a child yet alone an adult. the prawns dish was so bad that I could not eat it as was so stable and hard. Basically I will never eat from here again. £50 worth of order just down the drain. The search continues for my new local chines.. anyone with recommendations...

Once again i consumed mouth watering food from this fine establishment. I found the honey chicken popcorn to be probably one of the best things on the menu along with any of the chefs specialities. The chicken and the beef wasn’t very filling which i prefer as i can consume large amounts of the heavenly food made by the gods. It’s also a really good value for the amount you get and xin is employee of the month i believe so. Also to top the my meal off i consumed a chicken soup which did the job it filled me up 😏😈. I will always get food from here now it’s the best. golden inn is the thing that makes me not hungryyyy golden inn is the thing that makes me hor-hungryyyy is so yummy in my tummy. 11/10 best...
