Spaghetti Tree — Restaurant in London

I visited the restaurant with friends on Thursday evening May 23rd. Lovely decor and the atmosphere was good and we were quickly shown to our tables unfortunately it went down hill from there for these reasons in brief:

Service: More than 30 mins to take our drinks order. Bottled water came at room temperature plonked on the table and no attempt to fill our glasses or provide ice.

A small spider with web in tow disgustingly dangling from the straw of my pina colado cocktail - when I showed the waiter it was taken away with no redress.

My tiger prawn starter was lovely and great presentation but when I cut into the third one it had a fly or bee (wings included!). When highlighted to the waiter it was taken away - again no attempt to redress.

More than 1.5 hours later no mains arrived - waitress came over offering us the menu for desserts - they had forgotten us for nearly 2 hours with no main! We explained that despite the order being taken food never arrived…how do you miss that for a table of 5?! Mains eventually arrived but was largely uneventful ( I had the seafood spaghetti dish) some clams were unopened and dish overall was quite bland)and not worth the wait. To add insult to injury a ‘service charge’ was applied to our bill. A relatively new establishment I understand so hopefully these issues will be addressed...

First visit, unfortunately wont return. Food very very average. Service terrible very expensive for what you get. Just missing the bare basics - water offered for the table even though glasses provided. I would expect a more efficient service for a newly opened restaurant. Also no need at all to have music blaring in what is a relatively small restaurant I couldnt hear what my friends were saying.. The random singer walking up and down was odd to say the least. This may work in larger restaurant but not in this one.

Had to ask for dessert menu. Then go up to ask for spoons for dessert. As waiter dissapeared. Only 2 vegan options for mains, as far as I could see and only sorbet as vegan dessert option available. This meal was a treat for my friends, so felt uncomfortable to ask to have service charge removed. If I was paying equally, would have insisted it be removed. Really hope this is only teething problems regarding service and food. This restaurant doesn't appear to know who it wants to cater to ambience wise as well as food...

We booked for 14 people and paid a deposit. Unfortunately my elderly parents were unwell and unable to go, but we were charged the deposit still for them. My parents made the booking for 630, but when we arrived they said the table was for 615, unfortunately I can't say who was correct. We preordered all the food except desserts. Some of the kids ordered deserts just after 8 and were then told shortly after that we could not have them because the table had another booking and there was not time. At no time when booking or during the evening were we told we had a limited time. I think this is completely unreasonable and also with such a large group, it would be difficult to complete within such a short time frame. In addition the service was not quick and we had to ask for them to hurry the kids meals as they were waiting a long time. Overall, we were so disappointed. We only get together once a year as a family and unfortunately the choice of restaurant ruined it for us this year. We will not...
