Not terrible but there's definitely room for improvement. In person service is decent, delivery service is awful.
I go here on my break at work most days and the service is fast, staff are mostly polite but some can be quite miserable. There's one very chatty lady who always remembers my order but other than that the service isn't really above average. Occasionally the coffee will taste a bit dirty, maybe some staff members don't clean the machine often enough but more often than not the coffee is fine. Hot food is is frequently cold, and the staff seem to get irritable when you ask whether the food is hot, as if it's not their job to serve the food hot and make sure the customer is satisfied. Overall not terrible but I only go there because they're the cheapest place to get lunch in Edmond Green.
The delivery is where things really go down hill though, so I'll just cut to the chase. Everytime without fail there's something wrong with your order l; missing items, spilled drinks, cold food, etc, etc. Orders are always packed carelessly, hot drinks are never properly secured and the staff never take any responsibility for it. They used to have lids with no holes in them and that worked much better for deliveries, now they just put a little sticker over the hole which does not work at all.
If you can afford to go elsewhere, I'd more than recommend...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAsked for a breakfast baguette and was told they weren't available anymore. Was told that I could have an omelette in a roll instead. Which I accepted! Asked for a standard Tea and was told they don't sell tea so had to have a green tea instead. Asked for salt and pepper for the omelette roll and was told they don't do that either. The member of staff serving me seems quite gleeful at not being able a customers request especially when telling me quite curtly that they didn't have what I wanted in a loud and aggressive voice. As for the omelette roll it was served in a cold bap and the omelette itself was cold, congealed and rubbery, totally inedible. I returned to the counter and informed the same member of staff that served me that the food was cold and inedible and could they heat it up. Low and behold, I was told they couldn't do that either. I tried to eat the omelette roll but it made me heave and had a horrible taste to it. I felt immediately sick and unwell. Who knows how long that thing they classed as an omelette was sitting there before it was served and if it contained any pathogens as a result. All in all, this was the worst purchasing experience I have ever had as a consumer. Cold, dangerous, inedible food. Limited choice of everyday items such as tea. No condiments. Rude and disinterested staff. Not a good...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI visited the Edmonton Green store to purchase a coffee and a cookie. When I asked politely for a large coffee, the staff member responded in an extremely miserable and disgusting manner when asking for clarification. This Staff Member then accused me of being rude! Carrying on like she wanted a full argument. While I've always received acceptable customer service from the staff at the Edmonton branch, this particular employee's attitude was very disappointing, lacked any acceptable level of customer service and made me very uncomfortable. It has unfortunately deterred me from wanting to return to the store, as I fear she may tamper with my food due to her aggressiveness. This experience has not reflected well on Greggs, and it has put me off from returning to the store...
