I visited the buisness today. At first the decor and aesthetics was very inviting and up to date great to see. The toilets were modern but dirty, the taps were not clean or sleek and tissue was found on the floar, no water hose was found for proper hygiene use. I had to seat myself down in the restaurant, although the pizza chef rang the bell, but it took over 5 mins for the waitor to arrive. The table next to me was left dirty for a prolonged period of time. The waiter greeted me ok, but could have smiled more, again not sure what's happening in her life for not smiling brighter. The food was tasty and cooked well, however, the portion was very small. I ordered salmon with vegetables. When I asked for the bill it included a forced 12.5 percent service charge, I asked for this to removed. As I believe leaving a tip whether it's 1 percent or 100 percent should be based on the service, provided and on the basis of the customers discretion. This gives the buisness staff more incentive to put more effort in to provide a higher standard of service. The waiter did say when I asked for the charge to be removed am I not happy ? which was the wrong assumption as this is not about happiness, but more so being dissapointed with the poor service provided on this occasion and the forced service charge policy. I will ofcourse visit again and review again as i feel the buisness has a lot of room to grow. Ending on a positive the food was nice, and cooked well, the aesthetics was very inviting and modern, just the service and cleansingniss needs more attention, and service charge issue. Hopefully the buisness will improve and provide even happier service to customers and increase portions. It might good to also include the protein g...

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was truly shocking. I visited Gusto on Preston Road and was appalled not only by the poor quality of the food but more disturbingly by the behaviour of the staff. The service was rude and dismissive from the outset, and at one point I overheard staff using extremely offensive and inappropriate language towards other customers — completely unacceptable in any professional setting.
The food itself was substandard: bland, poorly presented, and absolutely not worth the inflated prices they charge. It felt like a cheap cafeteria pretending to be a premium Italian restaurant.
Preston Road deserves better than this. Gusto fails not just in hospitality but in basic human decency. I’ve raised a complaint with the local council and relevant hospitality regulators because behaviour like this should not be tolerated.
I strongly urge others to take their custom elsewhere — there are plenty of other restaurants in the area that understand both flavour...
Read moreI hardly ever review places where I eat these days, as I used to do so frequently, some years ago on Foursquare, Yelp, TripAdvisor, and the like, but this new local has inspired me to come out of this hiatus, just briefly!
I've lived in Preston Road all my life, and have chased after a great Neapolitan style pizza across London for the past decade, often heading to Ealing where the best of them have always been... but with Gusto, authentic, great tasting Italian pizza has finally come to our doorstep and it's giving the best of them a run for their money!
I've now ordered pizza twice from them and both times have impressed me, with a generous amount of toppings, flavourful base with a fluffy, perfectly baked, charred and chewy crust, and good size for the price.
So, if you're a local from the area, or someone from further afield, now as the lockdown is easing, this new joint needs the attention of pizza lovers everywhere, to ensure it becomes the woodfired roaring success that it deserves to be and remains as staple for Preston Road!...
