Harmony Coffee House & Soft Play — Restaurant in London

Been here before with friends, and also recommended people to come but there were different staff who were friendly. Not this time we went, staff were rude. After driving 30 minutes to get there and we’re told there’s a birthday party at 6. We were there at 5.30. We thought at least the kids can play for 25 minutes and we could have a drink and a bit of food quickly, since we drove a long way. They begrudgingly agreed to let us do this. I asked if they can reduce the fee for the soft play as we don’t have much time at all, and we were going to buy some food and drink anyway and be out of there in less than half an hour. She said she will check with the manager. 2 guys sitting outside smoking on the table and 1 inside who kept looking at us with a nasty look on his face, wonder which one was the manager? Went downstairs and took the kids shoes off and put socks on and they were about to go inside, but the lady came and said sorry the manager has said no, it has to be full price. Which is fine, but the way she said it was just rude, like they wanted us gone. We’ve been a few times, and spent a lot of money at the cafe. Staff used to be friendly but now it’s run by rude people, and dodgy looking guys who treat it as a hang out place for them all day.

If you have a birthday party, great. Maybe put it on the website so people don’t drive ages to come. Also maybe be better to your customers. Do you think it’s right to charge people full admission for soft play when they’ll have 20-25 minutes at most? Funny how when we entered you asked us to join you on instagram, for likes and advertising. Maybe treat customers right and you won’t get the opposite effect.

Very clean brand new place which opened November 2023 so it’s less than a year old. Lovely that they combine a café with good standard hamburger lunch selection and a soft play area. The only thing is that you have to pay extra per child using the soft play and adults also pay. Weekend costs more too. In general even kids menu is not cheap for normal standards as one kid meal varies between £6 and £8. Even so, bathrooms are very clean, there even is a kid friendly small outside area which is nice when it’s sunny. Unfortunately they made a mistake in our order and the menu is not clear (adults hamburgers come with fries but menu doesn’t say, some kids meals don’t come with sides so menu really needs some work). Great to have a cafe with a little play area, kids really enjoyed it. Positives were that it was really clean and well designed. Nice to have a book selection as well. Service was good, I liked the bell idea.

The downsides are: the adult charge (seems ridiculous to charge when already ordering coffee / food as well!!) which we found really off putting the kids menu prices are high especially when the pasta was just plain pasta with a tiny bit of tomato sauce from a jar 🤨 they refused to give us tap water (literally never heard of that in the uk!) the tv was on which is just so unnecessary in a...
