Havering Well Romford — Restaurant in London

Shockingly rude. I came here with my partner and was refused service unless we produced ID. We're both in our 30's. I had ID to prove my age and my partner had pictures of both her passport and driver's license, yet still, they refused us service. They claimed that's just how it is in Romford. Friends who live here have said that is a complete lie.

Throughout this interaction the woman we were dealing with, who appeared to be the manager, was unreasonably hostile towards us, making us feel extremely uncomfortable. I've never experienced such poor service and would only suggest coming here if you've lived in Romford for many years and have collected a set of references from several existing customers vouching for both your character, and bizarrely, yet most importantly, your age. ID, wrinkles, and greying hair...

I think this pub is lovely, good vibe but a bit stuck up considering where it is. So I have problem with my stomach, its an on going thing, I burped and accidentally threw up a little not alot, I was so embarrassed I ran to the toilet to clean up to come out to help clean but it was already dealt with, I got served at the bar, went out side then to get told to leave, this bar supervisor told me she didn't respect that her staff had to clean it up, even know it wasn't a lot and I was going to help. As a bar manager not to be rude but as a bar person expect the worst, I mean this is a stone gate pub I get it. But don't be acting like I was a problem as I did nothing wrong, accidents happen. Simply the best pub for miles around !!
