AVOID THIS RESTAURANT - QUALITY HAS GONE DOWNHILL AND HORRIFICALLY RUDE OWNER!!! Interesting that the restaurant is getting bad reviews deleted - I’m now writing this for a second time. The quality of the food has drastically gone downhill as others have mentioned (fatty meat and burnt), portion sizes have also decreased and prices have shot up - appreciate prices have risen everywhere but not to this tune, especially coinciding with the cut backs. I was a regular customer - the other week I ordered a takeaway as usual but when I opened the box at home the meat was completely charcoaled and black - it was inedible! I called up straight away and the staff member said he knows were regulars so we was offered a free box on our next order only to later call up and have the owner (who refused to spell his name for me when I politely asked - snapping at me that I didn’t need it) shout down the phone at me calling me a liar and speaking appallingly and swearing about his staff member before proceeding to shout at me to take my business elsewhere and hanging up. Before he hung up, earlier in the conversation, he interestingly mentioned that he’s stopping take outs/ deliveries shortly as this is a regular occurrence.. perhaps he needs to review the orders that are being sent out if this is the case!. I see from reading reviews that this happens frequently and no doubt the owner will also lie and say whatever to debunk this review - denying I’m a regular customer (as he conveniently has with others etc). Extremely bizarre way to run a business and also very upsetting to be on the receiving end of, I was quite shaken up after the experience to be honest. Had a booking for 11 people ( 6 adults , 5 children aged 11 - 15 years old ) at 6:30pm on Thursday 18th September 2025 under the name of Hayley

We booked this 2 weeks ago as despite it being a weeknight , we knew the Restaurant would be busy , so we didn’t want to be disappointed and not be able to get a booking

3 families as well as our special guest who is from Dallas , Texas USA who is a friend of all the families

As local families we wanted to make him welcome and treat him to a lovely dining experience so what better place then the Hayat

As families we have dined here many times & last nights experience was as brilliant as ever

Ordered the prawns in garlic for starters as well as the Calamari

We then ordered 2 sharing platters for 5 as we knew this would be enough for the 11 of us

As always the food was amazing & the staff were very attentive and couldn’t do enough for us all

We couldn’t eat all the food so the staff kindly brought out takeaway boxes which was shared out amongst all of us to enjoy again this evening

The Turkish flatbread and dips certainly get the taste buds flowing before the starters and sharing platters arrived on the table

If dining with children , a must to order are the mocktail drinks
