The Oval Fish Bar — Restaurant in London

Too be fair here , I see some negative reviews, OK I see alot of people waiting for thier fish n chips , or what ever they are ordering outside on a Friday . Why ? Because its popular ! Mistakes happen , don't think its fair to down star , for being run by humans . I saw a review about a guy ordering a cheeseburger at midday - yes I feel your pain , but when I tried to order a half pounder I was told it costs too much money to put the grill on ??? , young guy btw.. what I will say is , I normally go up the road MA'S.t.. .ry.. ( I'm not here to advertise) his prices have increased , stealthily. I thought the cods looked small at oval ? But then I havnt ordered one yet , I'm hoping they where a small ? Since the other place has to break of the tail to fit it in the box ( Large) . Price wise , we ll I think the prices at the oval may be slightly higher. I work long days and nights as a nurse so was really looking forward to my fish and chips dinner but sadly it wasn’t up to scratch, my fish was quite mushy inside didn’t look bright while and falling apart like I’ve had at other places, my chips were seriously overcooked brown and stone cold, and my pickled onion was mushy and looked a bit grey so all in all I didn’t get to have my dinner and had to spend another half hour or making something at home so not a happy customer and won’t be ordering from here again which is a shame as I went by all the good reviews. Terrible, chips were not very nice and i recieved a burnt/dry/very thin chicken burger, the lettus was brown and i have to put it together myself as it was chucked together with no care. my wife had a veg string roll that she couldn't eat it was full of onion with 2/3 peas in it. Waste of money. Would definatly go 3 mins down the road to sea bream, their chicken burgers are fantastic ( they were shut ) I would not be going here again and I'm annoyed I wasted...
