It's good, but not good enough for its price. We had seaweed salad for starter, tempura and roast salmon don, and a draft beer. The salad was very good, but definitely unorthodox for Japanese cuisine; a dressing of oil and vinegar made it a tad more Italian or South Asian. Tempura was impressive. The crust didn't look at great as what you would expect from a proper Japanese restaurant, but the taste and texture were impeccable, especially with the tempura sauce. The salmon don, again the plating looked more French than Japanese. The salmon itself was perfect and super flavourful, I wonder where they get their salmons! The rice was not really up to the standard, though acceptable. The two sides, a pile of unseasoned parboiled spinach and red cabbage, I'm afraid, were distasteful at best. The draft beer was watery and lack of flavour and reminded me of the Cypriot Keo (no offence to any Cypriot people sorry), and at £5 a pint (not including service charge) there really is no good justification. Hopefully the bottled ones would fare better. Service was very good and professional, however lacked warmth. Not complaining on...

About to lose count on my fingers on how many times we went there, my wife and I loveeeee their food!!! The perfect combination:

Crunchy Roll Sushi🤤(if you love cream cheese) - This sushi is life changing, Futomaki which is deep fried (not soggy at all) with cream cheese and shrimp, teriyaki and house sauce AHHH just flavourssss. The added crunch from the deep fry and the seaweed is just phenomenal!

Tonkotsu or Grilled Chicken Ramen - they are both amazing, if you don’t eat pork then go for the chicken or tofu, the vegetables and the ramen is outstanding, the flavour of the grilled main just complements this soup and the fusion just makes sense.

And to finish with a nice Hibagon Lager to wash down, nice and crisp cold Beer.

Or if you are not down for Ramen Soup, I recommend the Katsu Curry or the bento boxes, theres still a lot to try but the Crunchy Roll is a Mandatory for our opinion 🤤🤤! Perfect if Sushi and cheese is your...

This place sells fake Japanese food and absolutely disgusting. For starter I ordered Japanese pork and chickens buns which tasted like something from a kebab house, the meat was rock hard. For mains I ordered pork remen noodles which was biggest mistake. The ramen was soggy, The pork burnt, they basically fried the pork chops and threw it with the ramen which was tough as wood, the soup was salty and flavourless. The 12 pieces hibigon shushi box was disgusting, the tuna had a purple colour and dried, the salmon was fishy. Spoke to the manager to raise concerns, he simply told me “but we’ve been selling the same fish all day but no one complained”. Seemed like he wasn’t bothered. So 90 percents of the food I ordered went In the bin because I didn’t want to risk getting sick. Don’t take my word for it, go and try it, just remember to eat at...

Looked great, but no taste. Firstly the restaurant was cold and even after not talking off our jackets we were still chilly. The restaurant decor is very tired, and even when new wouldn’t have been particularly nice. The good points for the food was that it was fresh and good portions, but that was it. There was nothing with flavour in the salmon bento. The accompanying sauce was squirted straight from a bottle, but it seems not before watering it down as it tasted of nothing. The salad which was meant to be pickled was just shredded red cabbage. Even the edamame had no salt. There was just no flavour anywhere. The hirato bun was no fresh and very chewy. Overall it wasn’t a bad meal, but definitely not a good one.

The best Japanese in the area; delicious food, reasonably priced, great service - you can't ask for much more than that. I went on a Sunday afternoon when it was fairly quiet, and had a variety of dishes (all pictured). The service was speedy and friendly, and offered advice on menu items. The sushi tasted fresh, the curry was unique and flavourfull, and the beef don was so good - I'd highly recommend it. For two people having a decent amount of sushi, two main meals and a drink each (one tea, one beer), it came to £40, not bad at all. Overall, try Hibagon if you're in the area, it's well worth the trip.

Was very excited to try this new place. Unfortunately, the food was disgusting. The beef was very chewy and the starter was filled with oil. Felt like I was having just oil. The sushi was not fresh and I could tell this by the smell and the slimy soft texture of the fish. The waiter was kind enough to refund me but the food is questionable.
