I grew up in the area (lived there for over 30 years too) and worked in a deli on Bellevue road. I've therefore seen alot of places come and go... And also the loss of independent cafes and shops...was most sad to see the bookshop go! The increasing amount of estate agents taking up space where nice cafes and restaurants should be too, actually made it one of the the few hubs in london that got worse if anything. So was delighted to discover Hyde Farm cafe had actually replaced an estate agent! I went in while visiting my family and was greeted with very friendly staff. The coffee was delicious and there was an enticing selection of fresh bread, pastries and on the go lunch items with an Italian twist such us fresh tomato focaccia, mortadella rolls and there are also Italian products to buy. I purchased some fresh pumpkin ravioli and goats cheese and ate them together, both delicious. I'll certainly be back and recommending it to friends. The cafe also serves wine and cocktails and has a nice seating area...
Read moreWhat a nice addition to the area. Very laid back place with great coffee and excellent pastries. I also love the fact that they provide blankets so you can take advantage of the sun even in colder days.
Haven't tried the deli section yet, where you can buy bread, wine, cured meats, fresh pasta and pasta sauces, so I cannot really comment on that beyond that the selection...
