Amazing customers service and quick delivery. Despite the current situation with the lockdown and the fact that it was a bank holiday weekend, the macarons were delivered at the next available date. Initially, I had been looking online to send macarons as a birthday gift to a friend, however each website I checked the products were out of stock including Ilze's box of 20 macarons. I emailed Ilze and received a quick response informing me the product would be back in stock in a few days after which I placed my order. I was very impressed with the quality of customer service I received, my emails were answered promptly and my requests were fulfilled. As the recipient is a Muslim, I had to ensure the products did not have gelatine or alcohol, I was ensured that only non-alcoholic macarons were being sent. Furthermore, I was receiving updates regarding shipping and delivery and when the product had been delivered, the recipient sent pictures of the products and I have to say I was further impressed. They looked amazing and delicious and the presentation was perfect. As it is the month of Ramadan where Muslims around the world are fasting, this gift was perfect. Poor poor poor customer services never again am I going to shop here again!!! Ordering vegan macaroons I didn’t receive my order and only when I rang ilzes was I told by the owner the assistant that took my order got it wrong and that the macaroons have not been made. I had already paid fully for them.

Was then told they come in batches of 9 or so and if I want they can still be made but I will have to pay more else they will be up for sale.

So why not ring me up to tell me this and apologise straight up and tell me what has happened and then make the macaroons and as a gesture of good will for messing up, not insist me to pay more for the additional macaroons!

I am so happy that Ilze’s coffee shop is open for buying products again. I had to visit last week to stock up on supplies and buy a belated birthday present of macaroons and chocolates. They were all declared to be excellent and the macaroons the best ever. While the shop was closed I had an order delivered - the order was packaged beautifully and carefully and everything was in perfect condition and it arrived before the expected date. I am looking forward to the coffee shop reopening as it is a weekly treat to have lunch there as the food and coffee are all home made and delicious.
