ISLAND FOOD&WINE — Restaurant in London

Rude staff - cafe ran by a bunch of amateurs ! wearing winter jacket while serving you which doesn’t give a good impression - they talked to you fast and with attitude - we didn’t feel welcome -

All is plastic decorated and table top is cracked and place doesn’t look wel looked after - smoke vent cover for fire alarm was covered in plastic

Went to the toilet to be told by the waitress she was waiting first - seriously? Have you ever worked in hospitality?🤷🙈😂

We ordered the Turkish breakfast for 2, and have been served so much food we could not eat it, like the people next to us, involving a tremendous amount of waste which is a little shocking in 2023. apparently impossible to swap meaty sausage for a veggie one 😂

Asked for take away boxes - got given 2 and told I ll be charge for extra ? With the amount of food served I think this is a joke and no business does this - charging people for their own take away box…

Food was kebab quality apart from the grape served being mouldy and not washed,

When going to settle the bill - they started to argue about wrong order number in between them - we mentioned the grape which they did not apologise and simply mentioned they ll bring this to the chef…

Thursday 10th of February we went in to try this breakfast after seeing a really good review in in Google and also recommended from tick-tok Unfortunately it wasn’t how we saw it in Google or recommended by tick-tock friends when we walked into the place the floor was dirty also the kitchen looks dirty .! They told us to go upstairs we ordered a Turkish breakfast They bought us Turkish tea unfortunately that was very cold after that our breakfast arrived it was the worst breakfast that we ever had the cucumber had hair on it . The cheese was mouldy Of course we didn’t eat much. We asked the waiter to bring us another tea because the other ones were cold unfortunately we didn’t get to drink that we just wanted to leave the place When we went downstairs to pay for the bill we made a comment to say that it was a nice obviously he can go upstairs and check because we didn’t eat yhe Breakfast.. I don’t know who is making good comments on Google it must be fake I would not recommend this place to anybody. If I could give them zero I would hundred percent do that without hesitating… Please don’t waste your money there is better...

If you want to eat well, then I highly recommend this place. If you want to dine in a restaurant that is clean, then I highly recommend this place. If you want great customer service, then I highly recommend this place. If you want great tasting food with good portion sizes, then I highly recommend this CHEF. If you want to see a good restaurant manager at work, then I highly recommend HATICE. If you want to see wonderful staff that greets you with a warm welcoming smile, then I highly recommend KATHLEEN (she does great cupcakes by the way..).
