Jenny’s Cafe - Chessington — Restaurant in London

First time in here. Staff member rude when they brought the wrong order (one plate) to us (two of us) by curtly saying “Yes or no” and huffed off when asked if it was our order and my partner took 2-seconds to check what it was. It wasn’t our order, it was for another table.

Prior to this they allowed an elder regular to freely push in front of her when ordering.

35-minutes of waiting and we’re still sat here as I write this. We got given our toast. They gave our order to a table of three that came in after us and apparently ordered the same thing. The two teas came after 40-mins. If we hadn’t paid up front we’d have gone a long time ago.

I was to give one-star but the chef was not impressed with the error by the waiting staff when he realised. He brought us two free teas and got on the breakfast straight away when he discovered the mistake. Credit to him and apologies to him for this review. I recognise this is out of his hands.

Recommend for a well cooked, great value breakfast. Serving was huge, it wasn't at all greasy and everything (except the sausages) were of good quality and nicely cooked. Good value - £14 for two people for breakfast & drinks. I saw another review saying the drinks tasted odd - I agree I tried a white coffee & it was weird so I tried an americano with just a dash of milk & it still didn't taste right. I think they may be using uht milk. The cafe is clean & tidy though there are a lot of tables in the space. Staff were friendly and service was quick. It is not bad, but the staff could really improve their customer service. Not every customer will care how busy you are, your customer service is something which represents the whole place at the end of the day, this is vital if you want a customer to return again. Asked the man who works there something he did not even look at me he just stared into abyss, the female there who was serving us the best thing she had done was bring the order, the rest..not sure where the customer service went there.
